My Worst Experience in Jamaica
Pros:

As for the location, I'd recommend staying at Kuyaba—which is right next door—1,000 times over. Legends was my worst experience after traveling all over Jamaica.

Cons:

Everything about our experience was terrible, starting with the fact that a few days before our check-in date, they raised the price of the reservation—something that had never happened to me in all my years of traveling— however, since my travel date was approaching, I didn’t have time to look for another place. Upon arrival, the receptionist greeted us with a very bad attitude and told us we had to pay even more than the already increased amount and that we had to hand over the physical card—they wouldn’t accept payment with a different card. Yelling at us, she said they wouldn’t let us stay at the hotel and that they would refund the money we’d paid. We were there with a child under 10 who was crying from the stress of hearing her screams, we finally had to beg her to accept payment with another card, and they put us in a room that didn’t match the photos in the listing. The hotel was old, ugly, and run-down. We complained, and they told us the photos were just for reference and that we had to accept it because it was “clean,” and that to get a room like the one in the photos, we’d have to pay even more. The air conditioner was very loud the whole time, and the hotel hadn’t been fumigated, so there were cockroaches, mosquitoes, and gnats in the room. The bathrooms are terrible, and the mattresses are old and uncomfortable. There are hotels nearby that aren’t listed on Booking.com, and I recommend checking them out before you make your reservation. We switched to Kuyaba, and it’s 100% better.

Amazing Beach Location
Pros:

We loved staying here. The location is fantastic, right on Negril’s beautiful Seven Mile Beach. There are sun loungers available for guests, and the restaurant serves really good food. If you book here, it’s definitely worth paying a little extra for a room on the beach side of the road, as it’s just steps from the sand. The rooms are fairly basic but clean and comfortable, and the location more than makes up for it.

Needed more budget friendly accommodation d/t vacationing grand children living on island.

The rooms were somewhat outdated and could use some improvements. It wasn't my first choice for vacationing. I needed more budget-friendly accommodations for my vacationing grandchildren who live on the island. Additionally, the meal options should offer more local dishes, as the prices were a bit high.

Pros:

La habitación tenía un buen baño. Estaba muy bien para nosotros cuatro con dos camas grandes y tenía un tamaño adecuado. Había aire acondicionado y una pequeña terraza en la entrada. Un buen restaurante y bar con terraza con acceso a la playa. El establecimiento aportaba tumbonas para la playa.

Nice location. Comfortable Stay.
Pros:

The location is great, the night guard is very helpful and present. The cleaners/housekeepers are lovely, and the chefs too. The welcome bag was new (to us) and a nice gesture. Staff responded quickly to any concerns raised. They have a pool on both sides which is nice, as we stayed on the second location this time.

Cons:

This was our second stay here, and it still feels the same as my first visit. The room smelt dusty, so it was hard to sleep on the first night. There were cockroaches in our bed and bathroom, but the staff came and sprayed the room. The toilet water pressure isn’t great, and it was unable to flush on our first night and we had late arrival so this wasn’t resolved until the next day. The sheets and pillows and sheets had some yellow stain marks, so it just felt unclean. I think the price was fair for the length of our stay.

Hurtful experience
Pros:

Loved the fresh callaloo and fruit..The wifi is very good and like the tropical trees..

Cons:

There was a male in the front office who was very rude to us when we checked in..He had no manners or professionalism..I have been coming to Jamaica for 25 years and lived there twice but I never experienced such atrocious customer service..He spoiled our stay during check out as well. I felt unwelcome and sad. There were also bad odors along the walkway and damaged construction areas..

Economical lodging. You get what you pay for.
Pros:

Beach location was good, food vendors nearby and taxis ready if we need it. The food was good. There is always a variety. My mom forgot her passport in the room and the hotel called me right away. They secured it in a safe until we returned.

Cons:

Some guests rooms are across the street from the beach, the main office and hotel restaurant. Rooms are outdated and do not come with a fridge and microwave. We paid extra for a fridge. The resort also does not offer beach towels. My family member referred to the accommodations as substandard.

Pros:

“The beach road” is the main highway for western Jamaica. Very busy, dangerous to cross to reach accommodations on the other side.

Cons:

Musty, not well kept. Crowded beachfront. Rude staff.
