I still would recommend this place to stay.
Pros:

The location is excellent. It very close to Hersey Park. The staff made you feel very welcomed.

Cons:

The elevator was not working and we had to walk up four flights of stairs with our bags.

I think my paragraph above says it ALL....Overall facility could have been cleaner.
Pros:

Breakfast was fine. Location was fine.....

Cons:

CC was canceled prior to arrival...Charges were applied day before arrival...Always in my extensive travels the charges were applied at checkout. Also was locked out of room at 10 40 on checked out day. Belongings were still in room. Had to search for someone to let us in. Very disappointing.....I have stayed in high end hotels in the world and this situation never has happened before. A debit card was used to hold the reservation. I do not keep a large balance and there would have been enough money there at check-out. Or at the very least at check- in. More detailed info that this could happen should be given. Charging for the room day before check-in is not a normal practice.....Very upsetting and unusual.
Dreadful.....Fortunate the room was still available when we arrived ... We had tickets for the James Taylor concert. When I called, before leaving home after I realized the situation with CC from bank, the front desk person said it was ok to just
give another credit card upon arrival...Rudely was told that never happened.. What happened to the rule the customer is always right. I am not difficult and did not make a scene but could have. Will share this experience with others and will NEVER stay in a Days Inn......Room expensive for what was supplied...We are a traveling family for many years and this sort of experience NEVER has happened to any of my family...There are MANY other choices of good service offered to the public....Shame on you!!!! Had a GREAT time in Hershey however ....EXCEPT for the experience with your "INN" had a lovely time. Had lunch in the Hershey HOTEL.....NOW there is how you treat the public. Also went to the Botanical Gardens and took the Historical Tour.....
