⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another Perfect Stay at Champneys Springs
I arrived on Sunday afternoon to the warmest of welcomes from all the staff. A very special mention goes to Carol Harvey, the fantastic manager who runs Champneys Springs so brilliantly. Her leadership is reflected throughout the resort, and it's easy to see why the atmosphere is so welcoming and professional. Champneys Springs truly feels like my second home.
I would also like to give a very special mention to Michelle. She is such a wonderful, beautiful person, both inside and out. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel genuinely welcomed and valued. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her, and she always goes out of her way to help with a smile. Michelle's kindness, professionalism and caring nature shine through in everything she does. She is a true credit to Champneys, and I always look forward to seeing her. It was also lovely to meet HJ, a fantastic new addition to the team.
One of the real highlights of my stay was seeing Sasima, who runs the café. She is one of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever wish to meet. She came over to give me a lovely cuddle, which made me feel so welcome. Her warmth and caring personality create such a happy atmosphere, and it's clear how much she cares about both her team and the guests. She has also done a wonderful job mentoring Holly. The last time I visited, Holly was still quite new, but she has blossomed into a confident, friendly and capable member of the team—a real credit to Sasima's guidance and encouragement.
I also had an amazing massage with Janet, who was absolutely superb. It was one of the best treatments I've had and left me feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated.
Lucy and Bryany in the restaurant were fantastic, always friendly, attentive and professional, making every meal a pleasure. Peter and Rob were fabulous too, always cheerful, helpful and a pleasure to chat to.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Champneys Springs. Every member of the team goes above and beyond to make guests feel special. Your kindness, professionalism and genuine care are what make Champneys Springs such an exceptional place to visit. I always leave feeling refreshed, looked after and already looking forward to my next stay.
Thank you all for another unforgettable experience. I can't wait to return!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely love Champneys Springs. We visit every 6 months and always have a really relaxing time .
This time was no different apart from we chose to stay overnight .
I had a fabulous massage from Lena which was just what I needed . She was so lovely and I felt so relaxed afterwards.
All of our meals were absolutely delicious and the service excellent. Harry was brilliant and really great at recommending the best things to eat .
Overall , a wonderful time .
I have visited Champneys Spings on many occasions, both for spa days and spa stays. This latest visit was a 3 night spa break with my good friend. Our package included a different spa treatment for each day. We had an amazing time and loved our treatments, which were facials, pedicures and whole body cocoon treatments. The staff at Springs are amazing and always so friendly. They are so accommodating too. We were very late checking in on the first day and wanted to rearrange our treatments so we could relax. This was no problem for them. I met Peter, the Guest Relations Manager for the first time and thanked him for some other changes he made for us. As always the food was amazing with lots of choice. I have been to the other Champneys resorts such as Tring and Henlow, but always find myself wanting to go back to Springs. The facilities are fantastic including a state of the art gym and a huge hydro pool to relax in. The ladies day guest changing rooms, behind Reception, are worth making the trip to Springs to see and use! The only thing I would love to see at Springs are the waterbeds, which both Tring and Henlow have. I am hoping this will come at some point. Some outdoor hydro pools or jacuzzis would be wonderful for the warmer months there too. It is still my favourite though and I am already planning my next trip back to Springs!
Me and my friend visited for a spa afternoon after having a quick tour we were greeted at the fitness desk by Millie. She was so welcoming and informative of everything about our stay, she was very friendly and helpful. She made our experience!!
Excellent parking and lovely grounds, on first impression it looks like a good quality hotel but many areas were dated. Swimming pool and other facilities around were excellent.
My evening dinner was on the whole ok, but the starter of a mozzarella salad was served in an extremely hot bowl. Mentioned to staff but no apology or offer to change.
Room was very dated and not very clean. Bathroom was dated with mould in many areas, no shower curtain for shower above the bath so floor flooded.
Very nice location, property and very helpful staff.
No air-con in the room, the fan was broken. the tv remote was very unresponsive, probably flat battery...
Rooms were bit dirty terrible bed
The rooms let it down
Had an amazing day at the springs, the service, food and facilities were top notch, treatment by Lana was outstanding, she is an asset to the spa
Beautiful relaxing location between the willow trees. Shout out to Lana who is an exceptional therapist and very knowledgeable about skin conditions. She gave the best facial ever.
Room was nice and staff was lovely
I came here Sunday with a friend for an evening spa, was lovely.
I had already booked a spa day, with treatment and lunch, so excited to be back within 2 days
Arrived at 10 and was told of complimentary breakfast bits, which was a nice surprise and very yummy.
Had a swim, & hydro pool both of which were lovely.
Went into alcove to read for a while. All 4 of the seating area had towels on. Signage says don't leave your towels/robes etc on the seats if not using, so I moved one set and placed them at the side of the seat I was using. On leaving the area I put the towels back onto the seat. Returned to changing room, as that is how you exit the swimming area and was planning on getting a coffee before my much anticipated facial. I was immediately accosted by a hysterical woman who accused me of stealing her mother's robe. Bear in mind these are robes that the spa provides to all guests to use during their stay. Why would anyone need to steal someone else's? She then, screaming in my face, in front of everyone in the changing room, said her mother's glasses were in the pocket. I showed her there was nothing in the pockets of the robe I was wearing. She then, unbelievably said, that her mother's charge card (the paper you use to sign for tea/coffee etc) was also in the pocket, so this was much more serious. I took my robe off and handed it to her, there was nothing in any pockets. I offered her the opportunity to search my tote bag, which I had with me throughout the morning. She continued to berate me, saying I "threw" their stuff on the floor. I pointed out the signage and the fact their are hooks all around the area to hand ones robes, not leave them on the seats and also that I didn't "throw" them and I put them back when I left. I then said I was going to reception to report the matter. She followed me. When I was explaining things, she kept shouting over me. Eventually a manager took us to one side, I explained the situation. He said it's best to ask staff to move other people's towels off seats. OK but the signage didn't state that and other than the man conducting a aqua fit class, there were no staff about. I reiterated the offer to search my tote bag, which the manager declined. He said he would ask housekeeping to check for the woman's missing glasses and robe. He gave me a new robe as I had given mine to this hysterical woman to search and I left. I went up for my treatment but was so upset by events that I left after 15 mins (was a 50 min treatment) and just went home. I didn't have lunch and so a whole day spa lasted 2 hours and 15 mins. I have sympathy with anyone who has lost their glasses as I use glasses all day every day, but to accuse someone of theft in such a horrid, public manners, is unacceptable. Why would I want some old woman's prescription glasses? It's crazy.
I am extremely distressed by today's events and I didn't get the relaxing experience I paid for.
The manager was really nice and did his best to resolve issues, so I don't blame the spa team at all.
I hope the lady finds her glasses and that her hysterical daughter reflects upon her behaviour.
UPDATE: I spoke on the phone to the manager, who confirmed that the woman had found her mother's glasses, which I am pleased about. However, my day was completely ruined and I paid a lot of money for a couple of hours spa, no lunch and a 15min facial and a deeply distressing situation that was not of my making.
As usual, I had a wonderful time. The staff here are so friendly and lovely. Maybe being midlanders helps! The classes here are amazing and the thalassotherapy pool is wonderful for those, like me, that need to do physio exercises. The saunas and steam rooms are great. The gym is lovely and cool in this heat. The food is very good too - especially the evening meals. I love my huge bed and fancy coffee maker and the Elemis soaps, shampoos etc. Great selection of treatments too. Springs is a little cheaper than the southern spas but is just as good.
Excellent stay, beautiful space, rooms and spa facilities
Not much we throughly enjoyed our stay
