The air conditioning was switched off , the rooms allocated from booking.com are on the 4th floor it was boiling when we arrived . We were told to open the windows as it’s October and they are being environmentally friendly & all hotels did this (that’s a lie). It was unfair to leave the staff in the reception to deal with these complaints as it was a corporate decision. Corporate seem to think they know what temp people want their room. Booking.com have raised a complaint as it clearly states rooms are air conditioned no mention of it A/C turned off . Lots of people complaining . It’s a shame because the hotel is actually fine with a very good breakfast.

If arriving by car the location is in a clean air zone that you probably will not realise and therefore you will be fined.

Śniadania bardzo dobre, każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Lokalizacja bardzo dobra, blisko do Cita Alata, na dworzec kolejowy oraz autobusowy.

A szobában nem volt üvegpohár, a papír poharak hamar eláztak. Az udvarban sajnos éjszakánként hangoskodás volt, de ez nem a száálloda hibája. A reggeli kicsit unalmas volt, illetve volt olyan étel, pékáru , amit elfogyás esetén nem töltöttek - kérésre sem - újra.
As the CEO of a Polish engineering company executing a critical business trip and establishing our first contracts in Italy, I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism at Mercure Bergamo Centro Palazzo Dolci. The room was fully paid in advance, and the hotel was officially notified twice about my late arrival (around 22:45). Despite this, they sold my room to someone else (overbooking).
Being turned away at this hour (23:55) in a foreign country is a logistical nightmare. Due to total occupancy in Bergamo, no other rooms were available, forcing me to urgently relocate a business meeting with clients and take an emergency taxi to another town (Brusaporto) just to find shelter. This failure severely impacts my company’s professional image on a new market and puts relationships with business partners under immense stress.
The refund of the original booking is the absolute minimum, but it does not fix the damage caused by this breach of contract. I strongly advise corporate clients and engineers to avoid this hotel if your business relies on dependability.
