As expected from a well-established international hotel chain, Mercure Bergamo Centro Palazzo Dolci offers a comfortable and reliable experience.
Our room was very nice and comfortable, and all the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location is one of the hotel’s strongest points. It is right in the city centre, only about a 5-minute walk from Bergamo Central Train Station and approximately 15 minutes on foot from the historic Upper Town (Città Alta). This made it very convenient for us to explore the city on foot.
The price-to-quality ratio was also very good, especially considering the central location. Breakfast was another strong point: the selection was very good and more than sufficient for a pleasant start to the day.
The only significant drawback was the size and capacity of the breakfast room. During busy hours, it became extremely crowded and noisy, with queues forming in almost every area. At times, guests had to wait in line very close to each other, which made breakfast a little stressful.
Apart from this issue, we had a very pleasant stay. Overall, I would definitely consider staying here again, particularly for its excellent location, friendly staff, good breakfast, and reasonable value for money.

Comfortable bed
Check-in took too much time. The restaurant is too small. Not enough food was delivered. The shower cabin cannot protect the rest of the bathroom from getting wet.
Breakfast x 11.90/pax, it was very good, rich choice of sweet and salty dishes, exc. price/benefit x Bergamo, recommended!
