Terrible shuttle
Pros:

Hotel is fine, shuttle took over a hour, the guy shows up on the phone doesn’t open door or trunk

Just ok for one night
Pros:

Unmotivated staff at the front desk. No drinking water available (only for purchase) even for a platinum member. Cold water in the shower. After my complaint the manager offered me points for compensation.
Positiv is the free shuttle service to the nearby EWR airport.

Excellent location!
Pros:

The hotel has excellent location just 5 min from terminals. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean, with coffee and tea and a coffee maker and small fridge, very convenient! The restaurant offered food until 10 PM and drinks and meals selection is adequate. The wi fi speed is quite good. Thye shuttle service to and from airport is good and every 30 min. Highly recommended!

Below Expectations~
Pros:

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights because I was working close by. The hotel is convenient to the airport.
I was extremely disappointed in the hotel for many reasons. The hotel appears worn and old. The lighting in the room is dim; the carpet is dingy. There are no USB outlets.
I was greeted when I arrived late at night by a young man that mumbled and did not make eye contact. The first room they tried to put me in had a horrible odor. My second room was more tolerable. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The last day, I had a COLD shower before heading to work. Not acceptable for a Marriott.
As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I expect a nicer hotel. At the least free bottled water which is not provided at this hotel.
The value did not match- this is a very expensive area - and the hotel was nasty. I will not stay here again.

I found myself at this hotel due to a flight cancellation, and honestly, it wasn’t my first choice. The location is not ideal—you’re sandwiched between highways, parking lots, and various industrial sites, which doesn’t make for a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, there aren't many options for dining nearby, so you're stuck with the hotel food.

On the plus side, the food at the hotel was surprisingly good, although on the pricey side. It ended up being the highlight of my stay. However, the inability to go for a walk or explore the surroundings really dampened the experience for me.

Overall, if you find yourself in a pinch like I did, it might work for a night, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.ck with the hotel food.

Just a relaxing day fro get away.

The armor and the room was amazing

Pros:

Terrible experience. The shuttle took 45 minutes to show up. No way to contact hotel the new automated help system is worthless might as well not have a contact number at all. The lobby was so warn the chocolate melted in the sundry shop. Waited 30 minutes in line to order dinner. Felt bad for the staff. Totally overwhelmed especially the bistro One woman to take orders serve food and clear tables.

Pros:

We really enjoyed our 1-night stay at the Marriott Newark Liberty Airport. The people were very friendly and helpful which was refreshing after a day of traveling by air. Our room was nice and clean and very comfortable. Being VIP of the Day was an extra special gift. Thank you.

Charge for early checkin
Pros:

Traveled with some colleagues. The person that checked me in told me it would cost me $50 dollars to do early checkin. I paid it because I needed to work and had some calls. After 20 min, a different person did the check in for my colleagues and didnt charge anything. How is that possible?

Nice suite, improve parking
Pros:

I was able to stay in a King Suite which was very nice and spacious. It felt very good. The only thing from enjoying my stay that much more was the difficulty I had finding a parking spot. If there was a way management could address this, I wouldn't mind making this my go-to anytime I go to Newark, NJ. Other than that, the customer service was very responsive and my glass of wine hit the spot!
