Budget option. Poor facilities. Shower and TV didn’t work.
Pros:

Good location but extremely noisy as above a pub.

Cons:

Very tired looking. My shower didn’t work the first day and my son’s had a dubious looking black gel like substance hanging from the bottom of his shower unit which put him off using it. I told the staff about it but no one did anything. My TV didn’t work at all. It kept turning off and on and I couldn’t get any channel except BBC1. The electricity in my son’s room would randomly turn off and on again so nothing would work including the tv or any plug sockets. The fans turned themselves off after a while so it was impossible to keep the rooms cool. I also didn’t appreciate having to carry my own luggage upstairs to reception as I’m in my 60’s and having to ask for a hairdryer from reception as there are none in the rooms. It’s ok if you want a budget hotel and you’re not bothered about being able to sleep, take a shower or watch tv.

Pros:

This hotel is in an excellent location! The building itself is old, but our room was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The staff were all wonderful and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be coming back again!
