Would definitely return to Kempinski when I am back in Chengdu .
Pros:

The location is very good , walking distance 300m to metro . The staff service is very good . We were served by Mr Chiron Chen on both stays and he arranged early check in and late checkout for us and given us a high non smoking floor . Very grateful for that . The room was a bit warm due to central heating and full aircon was not on yet as weather was still cool outside . We were given fans which helped a lot. Room is spacious and clean .

Good stay at Kempinski
Pros:

Location is fantastic , 5 mins walk to Metro station Line 1 and a cafe Obelian . Took train from Tianfu airport , convenient . Value for money . Upgraded to a higher 12th floor non smoking room. I arrived at 8 am , they allowed me to early check with no cost . The staff were very patient and service oriented . Also gave me a fan for circulation as the aircon is not that cold yet since it is still cold outside .

Cons:

There was a wine exhibition downstairs for 1 week and noisy downstairs

Excellent hotel let down by the bellboy service
Pros:

Excellent food selection at breakfast including Western. Very comfortable and spacious room thanks to much appreciated upgrade.

Cons:

One area needs improvement. When we arrived and when we left there was no offer of assistance with luggage. This is not normal Kempinski standard.

The best choice for Chengdu
Pros:

Everything. The executive rooms are very comfortable. The location is really good - close to everything. The swimming pool is perfect for unwinding - there are also some smaller jacuzzi-type ones, which we enjoyed. The breakfast selection is great - a wide selection of western and asian dishes. The on site bar is very nice, we had dinner there 2 times. And all the staff is extremely nice - from reception, to the team on the 19th floor, everyone was just the best. Overall, the perfect choice, highly recommend, we will come back.
