I enjoyed it and the view from the hotel room was very nice
Pros:

It was located where everything was walking distance and the hotel itself was very nice

Cons:

The dinner wasn’t great. Some of the staff members weren’t very pleasant

Ok, but a little bit below the standard you’d expect from a Radisson
Pros:

Basic but suited my needs travelling for work. Close to everything in Athlone. Good size room. Friendly staff.

Cons:

No one major issue, combination of a few small ones. Room set up seemed to be incomplete. Basic made bed, two very substandard pillows only, bed looked sparse, lacked some towels (no towelling mat for the floor, no face cloth), only toiletries were those in the shower (shower gel/shampoo), room key wouldn’t stay down to keep electricity on, had to position my car keys on top to keep it down so the electricity wouldn’t go off. Although the car park seemed a decent size, very limited available spaces. Lunch in the marine club was ok - had the steak sandwich, didn’t seem like an actual steak but the small steak pieces youd use in a stir fry. Price on mobile ordering system differed from physical menu as well. Overall seemed like there was just visible cost cutting measures. Had stayed here a couple years previous and left with a much better impression at the time.

Enjoyed our stay perfect for where we wanted to visit and what we wanted to do
Pros:

Perfect location for town and visiting tourist and interesting sites and river.
Excellent views
Lovely staff Samuel on reception very helpful and Gurleen

Cons:

Pillows in our room not good , full of small foam bits so lumpy and less than comfortable
