Bathroom shocking
I booked this room for my 80 year mother but there was only a bath in the bathroom. There was no walk in shower which was a bit awkward.

Great location, beautiful river view from our room.
When checking in, girl was not interested and clearly didn't want to be there. Zero information was given to us. Just handed us the key cards and that was it. Not even mentioning where our room was and how to get to it, or anything about what time was breakfast or even where it was. Absolutely terrible manner, rude and unprofessional, she let the hotel down.
I love this hotel and it's location and close proximity to all the lovely pubs, restaurants and shops in Athlone. I love the view of the River Shannon and the boats from the lovely room that I stayed it. I'll be back!
