Loved my Birthday visit at the SureStay by Best Western.
Pros:

I was grateful for the late night check-in. The location was surprising in a more industrial side of town. The bed was comfortable and clean. The variety of the continental breakfast was delightful.

Cons:

Not the fault of the facility, the noise of traffic was distracting.

Cons:

The property was just not how the images really are portraying. The moment we got into our rooms there was hairs on BOTH beds. Check in personal took photos of it and blamed the new hire. Stains on sheets as well. The shower shampoo bottles completely empty! They only give you one towel per day per person according to the gentleman who checked us on. Later after we came back to the hotel at night, we noticed the floors were dirty and long hairs across the edges of the walls. And to top it off found 3 cockroaches at night. Called the front desk immediately about it. And she said she would let the manager know ,that she just works there. Not a sorry or any credit or nothing for the bad experience. Literally first thing at 9 am checked out of that place immediately!

I had to ring the bell every time to summon someone to the unattended front desk when needed.
Pros:

They provided some fresh apples. They provided flavored yogurt.

Cons:

The breakfast was definitely sparse even for continental style. The cereal bowls were mini-sized for some reason - too small for even one serving of oatmeal, and the only way to get oatmeal made was to use hot water dispensed from the Keurig coffee maker.
There was no microwave oven, so cooking or even warming anything up was impossible (except for making toast in the toaster).

Pros:

It was safer than a car.

Cons:

Coffee was so old , package inside of mylar was open and not usable, old stock. Carpet needed cleaning.
Continental breakfast, milk in stainless steel pitcher refrigerator was rancid..
Management seemed like you were bothering them.
I have stayed in Berkeley facilities with far superior service! Good luck!
