Terrible excuse for a 5 star resort, bad service and terrible food and pool

Cons:

Arrived in the evening:air con not working, food at buffet was terrible so took children to pizza Restuarant. Also bad. The result looks run down and service is really bad/ no where near 5 star. We offered to pay night and leave the next morning but despite the clear unhappiness the hotel management reused to shorten the stay or refund anything- they had received a prepaid week long booking from bookings.com. Bookings.com tried unsuccessfully to negotiate with hotel management. We got stuck in this awful place for a week and basically had to drive to other venues each day to keep the family happy. I have never written a bad review before but please avoid this terrible place and their unethical management staff. Also pools tiny and overcrowded, no one eats at their pool bar because everything ridiculously overpriced. Every day people terrible reviews but the management just gloss over them with done waffle comment. I hope bookings.com blacklists them due to their lack of cooperation and poor attitude.

Lovely relaxing stay
Pros:

The staff are very helpful, polite and professional

Cons:

No gym?
Food options on site mediocre and not worth the prices charged.. it has been great having a small kitchenette, restaurants and supermarkets nearby.

Qualidade do Pequeno Almoço
Simpatia do staff

Cons:

- O quarto cheirava a humidade e por esse motivo tiveram de nos mudar para outro.
- Não é preciso ir de carro para a praia, mas até chegarmos ao areal precisamos de andar um pouco e descer várias escadas.
- Em maio, a praia não tinha muito areal e apanhámos muito vento. Tivemos que ir para praias mais abrigadas.
- Infelizmente começa a ser uma prática comum no Algarve, mas é preciso ter atenção ao valor que nos apresentam na conta. O valor com a gratificação aparece destacado e pode induzir em erro o Cliente.

The property was very clean, services was excellent

Cons:

I was racially discriminated by a kitchen staff : she hated me because I was black, she was incharge of frying omelette at the dinning during breakfast and the first day she ignored me and said she does not understand English and that I should speak Portuguese i just felt she was having a bad day but it happened again the next day, she ignored me and attended to two guest who came after me at this point i flared and shouted, i created a scene that the head of the kitchen who is a very lovely lady I think her name is hippy came and apologized and got someone to fry my eggs and even the other guest were telling her she was unfair to me, I plan to create an online sensitization about this awful experience , the front desk staff were excellent: Jerome and Victor are the best
