A estrada para lá, várias estradas cortadas que não aparecem no gps as alternativas, demoramos 1:40h a mais do que o suposto para lá chegar, o que nos fez perder parte da experiência e fez com que e experiência não fosse tão boa.
L’authenticité, la décoration soignée, le cadre exceptionnel, la vue sur le Douro et le paysage à couper le souffle, la piscine à débordement avec vue, le restaurant qui propose des plats originaux et succulents, la gentillesse du personnel très chaleureux, l’accueil …

Magnifique quinta surplombant le Douro.
Our visit here was exceptional, We were only on a one night stay but it was fantastic, truely enjoyable and stunning location. We did a couple of tastings, our host was fabulous, really knowledgeable and was super helpful on explaining the grapes, the process and history of the Vinyard and the range of products they produce. Dinner all I will say is have the game pie, the flavours without it being heavy. I Breakfast was lovely and the resturant is a very calming space. You can hike the Vinyards , the audio guides on the way are a nice added touch. The view from the pool words cannot describe, truely picturesque even on a cloudy day. Must visit the shop before departing!!!
Beautiful property with high end facilities and fresh farm to table food. Staff were very kind and accommodating- always willing to help make your stay the best possible. Top thing is the stunning infinite pool looking over the Duoro Valley. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making us feel truly welcomed and relaxed. Without a doubt, one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back!
A luxurious, peaceful hidden gem of a luxury hotel on a large plot. Breathtaking views from the pool and grounds. Fantastic staff. Nothing is too much trouble, discreet but responsive. Great pool bar, wine bar and restaurant. They have hiking trails with an audio guide of the property and lovely nooks and crannies to sit. There is also a quiet spot on the banks of the river -perfect for a bottle of rosé or a picnic. The hotel is able to offer a Douro cruise on their own traditional wooden boat - book in advance. No need to leave the site and felt very well taken care off.
Be warned - it is a hilly location in the Duoro valley so not suitable for those with disabilities generally.

The location is stunning, I’d recommend to stay at least for 3 days. They have their own produce from gardens which makes food even more delicious
Probably I’d prefer a little more variety for breakfast menu.
I fear we will never beat Quinta de Ventozelo. The views from the Quinta are utterly breathtaking and unlike any hotel we have ever stayed at.
The hotel was at the higher end of our usual budget but we are so glad we splurged for this special experience. With a museum, tastings, walks and dining on-site we didn’t feel the need to leave the estate (the view really was unbeatable). The pool area was really quiet in the mornings and there are many pockets of the estate you discover that offer quiet and serenity. It was a perfect few days of relaxation before busy Porto.
The restaurant is nice and on a terrace with beautiful views. The dinner menu can be a bit repetitive if you are staying multiple nights. Be aware that they also have a wine bar menu with less formal tapas/sharing options that we found suited us very well. Breakfast was varied and delicious (the apple oat pancake was the showstopper for us). There was just one morning we experienced our order being forgotten and ended up asking for it to go as the flies were particularly bad.
If you are hiring a car, note that the roads up to the Quinta are not for the faint hearted (we were glad of a glass of wine afterwards!).
All in all, if you want to stay on a working Quinta with everything you need on-site and the most beautiful views in the Douro. Book book book!

Lovely team, great facilities - beautiful views! Loved our stay - will return! Pool area is great! Rooms were a bit small but all you need when enjoying a few days in nature. Loved their gardens so much!
