I was looking for Old World charm. The hotel had it in spades. The decor was fun, colorful, and felt very Indian.
Nice heritage style, good restaurant.
Both the hotel and staff were lovely. The food was delicious and every corner of the hotel is an art piece! The facilities are clean and comfortable, it was a very pleasant stay.
Very nice hotel, indian style
Gorgeous hotel
Receptionist tried to deny me a room at 11:30pm because their card machine wasn’t working. -1 point because he was very unprofessional and unhelpful
Antique appeal, good staff
Location...too crowded...but cant be helped for vintage properties
Our stay at Umaid Bhawan was beyond our expectations. The ambience of this Heritage hotel cannot be described in words - it can only be experienced. The lovely wall paintings, the fountains, the artifact's, everything transported as back to an era of the Rajputs. The property is extremely well maintained, which is commendable. The staff is very polite. The breakfast spread caters to not just Indian palate, but also to foreigners, with baked beans, porridge, croissants on the menu. The a-la-carte menu is decent, though on the pricier side, the quality and taste of food is excellent. Highly would recommend this place, if someone is looking for something other than the sterotypical hotel ambience. Location is decent too, it being at the heart of the city's residential area - so safe and easily availability of Uber taxis and autos. We stayed for 4 nights, and could have easily spent more than a week there.
We had expected some Rajasthani music shows in the evening (as mentioned in the Booking.com page), which did not happen.
The wifi connection is slow and mobile network (we were using Vi), was also not great.
Smart TVs in the room, were not properly functioning due to slow Wifi - although we never addressed it to the staff - I am sure, they would have come up with some solution, had we mentioned it to them.
Being in the midst of the residential area. There is no nature or great views from the windows, so ask for rooms that look inside the building, to enjoy the views of the lobbies and fountains.
Ambience, look and feel.
Staff could have been more curtious, we were welcomed with blank faces with no will to help. We reached at 4am, least expected was to be treated with humility.
A nice boutique style hotel well located for visiting the sites in Jaipur. Worth noting, the hotel sits at the end of a road where there is 'no thru-traffic', meaning in it doesn't have city noise issues.
The hotel has a great roof top restaurant serving excellent food and breakfast buffet. My roof was a suite style and was beautifully decorated and was easy enough to stay in.
Good value for money and a thoroughly decent experience.
La beauté du palais. Les repas en particulier le petit-déjeuner. J’ai aimé aussi profiter de la piscine.
Beautiful hotel, very heritage oriented and culturally decorated. Staff is helpful as well and food is completely delicious. I had the Rajasthani Thali and it was mind blowing, very tasty 😋
