Umed Bhawan is a charming heritage hotel located in a quiet residential area. While the peaceful setting is pleasant, it is a little away from the main market, shops, and cafés, so you’ll need transport to get around. My room was decent and came with a balcony, along with a small dressing area outside the washroom. The staff were one of the highlights of the stay—always smiling, prompt, and very helpful. I had booked a package that included a car and driver for a day, which was excellent and added great value to the experience. The bed was comfortable, although it was a little short for me, and my feet touched the footboard. The pillows were quite firm, while the mattress was reasonably comfortable. The washroom was a good size and stocked with basic amenities. One issue that concerned me was the bathroom window. The glass was not completely opaque, which meant there was a possibility of someone seeing inside from outside, making privacy a concern. Breakfast was served at the rooftop restaurant. The spread was simple, and the bread was fresh and decent. Overall, Umed Bhawan offers a pleasant heritage stay with courteous staff and good service. If you don’t mind being slightly away from the city centre, it is a comfortable option. However, I hope the hotel addresses the bathroom privacy issue, as it is an important aspect of guest comfort.
Beautifully decorated property, large and comfortable guest room, good breakfast.
Staff was impersonal. Strong smell of spices from the kitchen in areas closer to the restaurant.
Food was good.
The property is very old types and not even close to modern hotels. Approach is very bad.
Hotel molto bello, ristorante buono e molto comodo, stanza impeccabile e molto confortevole.
Amazing place, beautiful rooms, resting and pool areas. The restaurant on the roof has beautiful view, tasty food and very good service, especially of mr. K.Singh and the others. We really enjoyed our stay.
Located a short taxi ride outside old Jaipur, the Umaid Bhawan haveli makes you feel calm, at ease and rested in an otherwise overwhelmingly hectic city. The relief of stepping inside, refreshing yourself in one of their beautiful Rajasthani styled rooms, or heading to their open terrace restaurant for home-style live cooking are all wonderful. The restaurant staff - especially Bijay, Shankar and Asish - provided attentive, friendly and knowledgeable service. They remembered our dietary requirements and our previous orders to ensure we had exactly what we wanted, when we wanted it. In the evening, there is a troupe of traditional dancers and musicians performing, adding to the magic as you dine under the stars. The Umaid Bhawan is exceptional value for money. We asked for a quiet suite with an adjoining room for our son. Each featured its own private balcony, but it’s the communal areas that stood out particularly for just lounging, unwinding and relaxing. The cleanliness of the rooms was absolutely fine, and the cleaners attentive and responsive. I would thoroughly recommend anyone thinking about booking this hotel or eating here.
Breakfast was perfect to start the day ..
I would like to thank the Jaipur Umid Bhavan Hotel Group for such a wonderful experience during our stay at Umid Bhavan Jaipur.
My mother fell sick during our stay, and the Manager, Mr. Bharat, immediately arranged for a senior doctor to visit our hotel room. Thanks to his prompt assistance, my mother recovered quickly. All the staff at the hotel were incredibly kind and supportive throughout the entire process. Every one of them was professional, caring, and always willing to help.
The rooms were as beautiful as the property itself, well maintained, and exceptionally clean. We also loved the food, especially the chicken sandwich and the Laal Maas.
I would love to stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jaipur.
Thank you so much for making our stay such a pleasant and memorable experience.

I'm not a big fan of food. so my comments really wont apply. But what i had was really good.
shower amenities , its slimy and feel like oily.
Professional and highly attentive staff.
An atmosphere that transports you to the past, comfortable and clean rooms, a varied buffet breakfast, and an à la carte restaurant with options to suit every taste—plus a traditional dance performance during dinner.
To top it all off, there is a beautiful pool for relaxing and cooling off—an excellent bonus given the heat in Jaipur.
We liked the ambiance, it’s a really beautiful Indian style hotel. The hotel is super clean, people are constantly cleaning it which is really nice! The staff is so helpful and friendly! And I highly recommend the restaurant. We had dinner every night at the restaurant because it’s so good and we loved not getting out in traffic anymore. The menu is so big, you can eat something different and delicious each day!
