Good stay but I would not rate it is a great stay. Front Office staff can be slightly more accommoda

roof top restaurant was really nice for a good view.

Cons:

Extreme rigidity in enforcing rules. Even when rooms are available, they were not given to us despite the fact that we had requested for early check-in while booking. Even if one room was kept reday for us to freshen up before going out, that would have made us extremely happy.

Would definitely recommend!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Ocean V. In summary, the staff were really kind and helpful, the half board offer was excellent and we would really recommend staying here.

Hotel/room:
Great sized rooms, comfy beds and pillows. Water and shower amenities are provided each day. The rooftop is really beautiful and has a great view for the sunset. The rooms face a road so at times this was noisy but did not affect us too much.

Food:
The breakfast was a buffet style and was really tasty and fresh.
The dinner options were fantastic, a 3 course meal was included each night (with half board) which had many options and were to a really good standard, we really enjoyed the food here. On Thursdays and Saturdays a buffet is on offer which is a nice change up.

Staff:
The staff here are incredible! Especially Manish and Aman in the restaurant and all the reception staff are also lovely. They really made our time here memorable.

Location:
Good location, about a 5 minute walk to Pereybere beach which is a small cove beach with really nice water. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk into Grande Baie or you can get the 82 bus (which goes to Port Louis and many other popular beaches) which stops right outside the hotel. There aren’t many bars/restaurants nearby so I think half board is the best option with this hotel. Saying that, you can go to the Cloud bar which is a 2 minute walk or go for drinks at Lux Grande Baie hotel which we did a few times.

Overall we would definitely recommend staying at Ocean V, it was excellent value for money and really enjoyed our time here. We would suggest half board if you decide to stay here!

Dépaysant, personnel vraiment incroyable. Parfait
Pros:

Son personnel incroyable !!! Kaushal, Manish, le p’tit Lakshman, Hushika, Ryhanna, Medha et toutes les jeunes femmes de l’accueil. Repas excellents, vue magnifique avec sa piscine à débordement. Une petite idée du paradis terrestre.

I highly recommend it.
Pros:

The entire hotel, especially the staff, is very pleasant and helpful. Nice room and bathroom, and a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony.

Cons:

A small drawback - not a large selection of meals but they were delicious nonetheless. The smart TV in the room didn't work.

Un poco decepcionante para luna de miel pero tiene sus puntos positivos

El personal de recepción era muy amable, tenía parking, el bar y el desayuno estaban bien

Cons:

Elegimos este hotel para nuestra luna de miel y antes de viajar les avisamos. Nos respondieron encantados de que hubiéramos escogido su hotel para un momento tan especial, así que íbamos con bastante ilusión. Por eso la llegada fue bastante decepcionante: al hacer el check-in nos dijeron que teníamos que pagar 100 € adicionales porque, según ellos, había reservado una habitación doble para un solo huésped. He revisado Booking varias veces y sinceramente no me parece que eso esté explicado de forma clara. De hecho, no encuentro en ningún sitio que esa habitación solo pudiera ocuparse por una persona. Viajo bastante y nunca me había pasado algo así en ningún otro hotel reservado por Booking.
El hotel en general se nota un poco antiguo. Seguramente en su día fue un muy buen hotel de playa, pero actualmente da sensación de estar algo dejado y venido a menos.
El restaurante tampoco merece mucho la pena: caro para la calidad que ofrece. Recomendaría comer y cenar fuera del hotel, ya que hay opciones mejores alrededor.
Mención aparte para la lavandería, que me pareció exageradamente cara. Error mío por no revisar los precios antes, pero por lavar unas 10 prendas y algo de ropa interior nos cobraron alrededor de 40 €, una barbaridad para el servicio ofrecido.
Como puntos positivos, el desayuno sí está bastante bien, el personal de recepción fue amable durante toda la estancia, el hotel tiene parking y la ubicación es cómoda y céntrica para moverse por la zona.
En resumen, no fue una mala experiencia, pero tampoco estuvo a la altura de lo que esperábamos para una luna de miel.
