Room was very nice... area was rough.
Pros:

The breakfast was disappointing. The food was not good. Sausage waa overcooked. Bacon was rubbery. Apples were overly ripe. I expect more from a Marriott facility.

Minor issues
Pros:

Location is good. Beds comfortable & great shower. Although some in our party experienced lukewarm showers.

Cons:

No shampoo in shower. There was conditioner & 2 body wash bottles. No trashcan in the bathroom area, very odd. Lighting in sink area very poor. Our TV quit working in the evening & next morning. Of course, started working when we were leaving. Spent a lot of time with our group in the lobby & they couldn't get the FOX channel for the KC Chiefs game down there. Also very odd for being in KC.

Extra $40 charge
Pros:

It is a very pleasant experience. When we checked in he was very nice. Didn't get his name but it was the evening of August 19. We were there because of the storm in Wyandotte County Kansas. He told me that he wouldn't charge me for parking and I thanked him. They moved us quickly to another room when the first rooms air conditioner was not working. When I checked out and went home I got a email alert where my card was charged $40 for parking. I was upset that he didn't honor his word.

Great place to enjoy KC!
Pros:

This is a great location. Very walkable and easy access to there Streetcar. The staff were all very professional and graciously accommodated our check in/out requests.

Wonderful Hotel
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable! Everything we were there for were close by. We were there to donate to the World war memorial! Our wives had a grandfather in WW1.
Thank you for your hospitality. The front desk clerks were awesome also.

I was very impressed with the staff.
Pros:

Hotel staff was fantastic; super friendly and very helpful!

Cons:

Paying to park was not ideal; haven’t had to do that before. The room and bathroom were clean, but there was a musty small, which could have been the humidity, but it was pretty musty.

Excellent comfort with easy navigation to attractions.
Pros:

Comfortable area, close to Union station and Crown Center. VERY easy to get around with the street car stop just around the corner from the parking lot. Also VERY easy to navigate to the stadium for the games. We will stay here again.

Cons:

HOT in the elevators, but we think the AC might have been on the fritz in the elevator shafts.
