Pros:

location to city and the view

Cons:

cleaner pool area someone had a baby in pool with a dirty diaper and the beds where hard as a rock, free breakfast was lacking. we had to leave early because of emergency at home so we only stayed 4 nights not 5, we where charged for 5 .

Room needs updating, furniture everything old.
Tub shower had shower handle in wall that was not installed correctly. The holders were open and looked moldy at the ends.
Entire room and bath needs paint.
Door to patio difficult to open.
Do not recommend this hotel.

Two star quality, four star price
Pros:

Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Location is right next to Arnold ferry and cheap overnight parking for Mackinac Island. Mattresses were new and comfortable. Breakfast area is adequately large to handle the crowd.

Cons:

The building is very run down, has that “sticky carpet” feeling that you only get at grungy hotels. Building interior and exterior is dirty and in disrepair. Our room also was both dated and poorly maintained. The hotel was quite packed, the parking lot and hallways and other public spaces were always very busy, so you’re bumping shoulders with other guests; spaces are not adequate to handle the high season traffic.

Really nice stay here. Very clean and beautiful location!
Pros:

I liked the beautiful lake view and proximity to everything downtown Mackinaw. Within walking distance to the island ferry.

Cons:

Could possibly use some updating, but overall great!

Fair at best. Need to improve smoking smells.

Cost effective for last minute need

Cons:

Rooms very dated and dark. Carpet and bedding smelled like years of cigarettes- either from previous smoking rooms or guests that were permeated with the smell. Bedding definitely smelled smoky. Breakfast offered but we had to leave before it started so cannot comment - breakfast starts too late.

Decent place with great amenities.
Pros:

We enjoyed staying at the Hamilton Inn. It has a great pool and hot tub. The beds are comfortable and breakfast was good.

Cons:

It’s an older hotel that could use some fixing. The secondary lock on our door was broken.

Loved the view, staff was very polite, breakfast was nice, pool and hot tub relaxing

Cons:

Having to smell marijuana as my family and I walked the hallways. Informed the staff of the problem. They said they would take care of it but smelled it the entire time of our stay

Pros:

Fantastic beachfront location on our Great Lakes road trip. The Executive Suite gave our family of five plenty of room to spread out, and being right on the water made for great evening walks with the kids. Convenient base for exploring Mackinaw City and getting over to Mackinac Island.

Wonderful place to stay
Pros:

We could walk to the Arnold ferry dock, restaurants and downtown. The staff was friendly, room very clean. We had a view of the water and there was a beach for swimming. The breakfast had a large variety of food, which was very good.

The WiFi kept going in and out
