The facility was nearly empty yet we were assigned the worst room! It was an odd shaped dingy corner room with a very small window and no balcony.
When we complained we were offered an upgrade at a discounted rate of $50 per night even though the place was almost empty
When we finally got a different room, the sink wouldn’t drain. Also the ice machine was broken.
We could have made ice in the freezer of the refrigerator except it was almost completely iced up.
Also the check in person could barely converse in English and would no give us a room key until 4:00pm even though the place was empty
Thankful a different person was at the desk when we returned at 4:00. We paid full price for parking even though our car was the only vehicle in the garage.
I’ve stayed in Whistler many times at different hotels and have never had an issue like this.
After my stay at Blackcomb Lodge for one day, I was charged $250 CAD without any prior notice. When I called to ask for details, I was told it was for a “broken TV.” However, I never used or touched the TV, as I spent the entire day outside and only returned to the room to sleep.
When I asked for clarification on what “broken” meant, I was told to call back later and the call was ended without explanation.
Very disappointing experience, especially the lack of communication and transparency. I would not stay here again at all based on this experience.
The location was perfect - right in the heart of the village.
Very central location
Very stringent check in and check out (considering check in is very late and check out is very early).
Renovated , clean…
Very noisy heat pumps , music till 2 am from the night club
location
we got early check in approved through booking.com but when we went there they made us pay $60 for it and said that they dont let us check in early through third parties. The owner was extremely rude and oversold parking. He made us park in a random place that was not a spot. The place was also filthy.
Very central and had big rooms with multiple beds to share on cost
The hotel manager is abit too overzealous and creates abit of chaos with guests from his management style.
AC noise, there is not sound isolation from the outside noise.
It’s a good location.
The place is terribly run with key staff members quite obnoxious. They tried to charge $50 for a visitor to enter . Outside overnight noise was dismissed as something that should be raised with municipality. For those looking to be poorly treated & subject to their long list of rules / revenue generating penalties then book away - for most others I’d say stay away!
The place is so convenient, quiet and comfortable. Definitely coming back here again soon! Lots of near restaurants and blackcomb is a few minutes away from the hotel.
