Nice grounds, lots of peacocks roaming around. Dinner can be added for £35 with some items as supplement. Really good breakfast. Pool was nice too. Rooms are not dated at all.
Location is fabulous
The attitude of the front desk staff
We had an amazing stay at Pendley Manor and really enjoyed the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, with lovely gardens, plenty of parking and the added charm of seeing the peacocks around the grounds. It is also conveniently close to Tring, where there are some great restaurants and places to explore.
Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. We especially appreciated having air conditioning, a really comfortable bed, a mini fridge with complimentary still and sparkling water and a large wardrobe that allowed us to unpack everything and keep the room feeling tidy and uncluttered.
The spa was one of the highlights of our stay. The pool, two saunas, changing rooms, showers, towels and lockers were all excellent and made the experience very enjoyable. We also liked that the hotel had good leisure facilities, including well-equipped cardio and weights rooms, as well as two games rooms that we had fun using.
Breakfast was delicious and served in a beautiful setting that made the experience feel special and elegant. The buffet had a great selection of both savoury and sweet options, with plenty of choice.
The bar and garden areas were lovely spaces to relax in and all the staff we interacted with were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Overall, Pendley Manor gave us a wonderful experience, and we would happily return.
The only negative part of our stay was an interaction with one member of the spa/housekeeping team, whose attitude came across as unwelcoming on the few occasions we saw her. On our final evening, we visited the spa at 9:30pm for a short sauna session (the spa closes at 10pm), but we felt as though our visit was an inconvenience as the floors had already been cleaned. She also reminded us of the closing time, which we were already aware of. This was disappointing, especially as the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Evening meal in restaurant was nice, but lots of choices had extra costs.
Breakfast was tasty and sourdough was available.
Fruits like the different melon pieces, were a bit crunchy... like an apple.
Bedroom was clean, comfortable and spacious. Dinner..Lots of extra costs on evening menu for basic things. Like £2 supplement for a beetroot starter.
A small cheese board with 3 tiny pieces of cheese (with grapes and crackers) £6. My friend and I don't eat sweet puddings, so felt the supplement on top wasn't warranted for what we received.
No Jacuzzi available.
Everything! Beautiful setting and building. Really clean rooms with modern bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. Great pool with sun beds. Lovely bar with food. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Nothing.
Great location, close to town.
The staff dealt very nicely with a problem in our room, which was much appreciated.
Great character property, complete with peacocks.
Small comment - the hotel was busy with a wedding which meant parking was more challenging, plenty of spaces but lots of badly parked cars!
Breakfast. Dinner reminded me of those I had at school
Navigating around the building. too many stairs for those, like myself, have a visual impairment. Choice of cuisine was poor.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming; they are an asset to your hotel.
The pillows were uncomfortable. and the step-down bath- I was worried I might fall.
Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Restaurant was lovely and food was great.
There had been a wedding the night before we stayed and the grounds had mess from the party including smashed glasses, bottles and empty cigarette packets. Disappointing as children were playing in the grounds the next day and could have been hurt. The site team need to make comprehensive site checks after an event.
The surrounding were absolutely beautiful. The rooms were nice and calm.
I could smell the drains a little when i lifted the toilet lid. No dressing table mirror.
