Worst.Experience.Ever
Pros:

I’m a Marriott Titanium Elite member and have stayed countless nights at Marriott-branded properties over the years without a single issue like this. To be treated this way at a Marriott property, after that level of loyalty and spend, was genuinely disappointing and not what I’ve come to expect from the brand.

If you travel with a humidifier, CPAP machine, or any device that produces vapor, be aware this hotel’s smoking-detection system may flag it, and getting the charge reversed requires persistence. Beautiful property, but this billing practice left a bad taste.

Close to the Sphere
Pros:

An ideal place to stay if you want to see a show at the Sphere! You'd need to walk a little bit, but this hotel is more affordable than some hotels on the Strip. Just keep in mind that the surrounding area can be somewhat sketchy at night. The rooms are nice and I had no issues during my stay.

Quality of stay
Pros:

I have been to this hotel a few times both for work and pleasure and everything was nice. However, this last trip was a pleasure trip to visit some friends from out of state that flew into Vegas. I chose this hotel again because I did have a good experience before but this time was not good. Let me start off with the entrance to the hotel from the parking structure. Once we got off the elevator and into the lobby, it smelt like sewer and that smell never left throughout our stay. Onto the room, once in the room it looked and smelt nice. Went to use the restroom and the toilet water would not flush when you push the handle down, you had to hold the handle down and try to get lucky that the water in the bowl would go down. Needless to say it takes about 4-5 flushes for this to work. So when the cleaning crew comes in after guest leave to prepare the room for the next guest, shouldn’t they report this major issue??? I’m sure they flush the toilet to clean it….I didn’t report the issue of the toilet because, ONE, the cleaning crew should’ve and TWO, I didn’t want to be bothered by repairs being made on my time! I should be able to go into my room without having these issues to worry about because I am on vacation, the property needs to look at their maintenance and operations. Now for the toilet paper…..for the price you pay for the room, you would think to have a better toilet paper that isn’t like sandpaper. Now for the refrigerator, it was in the cabinet under the TV and again the cabinet door was broken and hanging down. Now for the coffee maker…..again, for the price you pay for the rooms, you would think to have a nice coffee maker and a nice coffee area to make coffee, needs to be updated and upgraded. I’m sure they do this so you spend more money down in the lobby at the coffee shop….. So onto the parking stucture. The hotel opens the parking to anyone who will pay for parking. That is horrible for the paying guest of the hotel, good luck finding a descent parking. Overall the hotel is a nice hotel and has huge potential, but the quality of the stay is not the greatest for the prices. I believe there should be equal quality to all rooms and guests regardless. I’m not sure if I will return?…

Big downgrade in food available.
Pros:

I've been coming to this hotel for years for trade shows and the recent changes to the food situation at the hotel are terrible. Where there used to be a bar, with a bar menu, and mediocre steak house, there is now only the new version of the mediocre Italian steak house. So if you want to get something simple for room service for dinner, you have to order a $40 plate of pasta. It is not possible to order a sandwich or a burger, only rip-off price sub-par Italian food. The breakfast was less of a downgrade but after getting inedible bacon one day and inedible sausage the next, I have learned that as long as you don't order any meat, the breakfast is ok, but again, a rip off at $30 for one person. It's a bummer that the urge to extract all money possible from customers at each step of their visit has extended to this hotel, because it was a solid, reliable choice for years. It still is, provided you plan to eat elsewhere most of the time.

Note - I am not giving the restaurant a bad review because this is a failure in management to force customers to only have one option in a decent sized hotel.

Wait staff is all great, they are not the problem at all. 10/10 for the staff.

Poor service, dated/low-end rooms, and plumbing/sanitary issues.
Pros:

I’m lifetime platinum elite so I’ve given my staff instructions to book Bonvoy properties wherever I go - in this case though, I recommend going elsewhere if you have any expectation of the Renaissance experience. I just checked in for 4 nights - and even though I want to be close to convention center - I would likely move to one of the other hotels tomorrow. Service is terrible and rooms/bathrooms feel like a 3 star residence inn (if that). Key points:

Checked in late night and got the room on executive floor. Went to my room and noticed some sewer/hydrogen sulfide smell. Found dirty water collected in the sink and a very strong smell. Drain wasn’t working either so I couldn’t get rid of the water. I’m not easily grossed out but this was a bit much - AND I had to touch the water to try and unplug the drain. (BTW, my colleague in the other room also had water collected in her sink).

Went down to front desk to the completely cold and unsympathetic front agent “Lex” (she had NO interest in what I had to say .. just wanted me off the desk) - same one who had checked me in.

She said she can call engg team and we can wait for them to fix. I requested to be moved given that it was late night AND because I was grossed out. She disappeared in the back - likely to talk to the shift manger - and came back telling me they don’t have any kings available so I’m being moved to a room with doubles. Not great, but I took it and then noticed I’m not on the executive floor (main issue being that I can’t quickly walk over to the exec lounge). I expressed my disappointment (still very politely) and got a complete stone faced response - kept repeating “we’re sold out”.

The property is dated (bathrooms literally have stains in both the rooms I saw), there appear to be sanitation / plumbing issues, and the service (particularly the bed side manner) is one of the worst I’ve seen. Maybe it’s a night shift but I won’t stay here. It’s the attitude that got me the most.

Nice location and decently comfortable.
Pros:

Nice and quiet, a little off the strip but close to the monorail station making it easily accessible to the strip! Room was decently comfortable. I loved that there was a shower AND separate tub to do soaks. Staff was very friendly.

Cons:

My toilet’s flush pressure was poor and the soap holders in the shower was connected to the wall with adhesive. It came crashing off the wall randomly in the middle of the night waking me up.

A Memorable Experience Thanks to Adela's Exceptional Care
Pros:

My boyfriend and I had a 2 night stay here and the hotel staff is just absolutely wonderful! From the moment we walked in to when we left, we both were treated like wonderfully. Our favorite is Adela, she works at the restaurant downstairs during breakfast time. Such a kind, genuine soul with a heart of gold 💛 Absolutely marvelous to talk to, I could converse with her for a lifetime. She's such a impeccable human being that we both plan to come back, just to see her.

She went out of her way to make our experience special, adding thoughtful touches that made the meal truly memorable. Her recommendations were absolutely fantastic and ended up being some of our favorite dishes. She brought such vibrant, positive energy to the entire experience and made us feel like family rather than just another table. God bless you Adela! Can't wait to see you again! 🫶
