Pour un hôtel 4 étoiles, le service du restaurant pourrait néanmoins être davantage à la hauteur des attentes, notamment

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le confort de la literie, le calme de l’établissement, la piscine très agréable, ainsi que la climatisation, particulièrement appréciable en été. Le parking est également un vrai plus, tout comme l’accueil chaleureux et professionnel de l’équipe.

Cons:

Le restaurant : pendant notre séjour de 4 jours, nous avons pris deux fois le repas et deux fois le petit-déjeuner. Malheureusement, lors d’un de nos repas, le burger était beaucoup trop salé. Nous avons signalé le problème, mais aucun geste commercial ni aucune explication ne nous ont été proposés par l’équipe.

Overlooked gem, 100% positive experience
Pros:

We were so happy that we stayed in Mercure Avignon TGV hotel for several reasons. We needed to be close to TGV station in Avignon because we rode TGV from Avignon to Madrid later. The hotel is located at a walking distance from the station so it would not be a problem to walk there if a taxi did not arrive to pick us up. The hotel is very modern, clean and well maintained. Good size room, comfortable bed, balcony, very relaxed environment. The room was separated from the bathroom by a curtain, but the toilet was separate. It is not unusual for European hotels and was not inconvenient for us. There was a kitchenette, microwave, dishes, fridge in the room as well. The hotel staff was very friendly, attentive and professional. They made our arrangements with taxi to go to Avignon center and to TGV station. The taxi service they work with is very reliable. The location is 2 miles from downtown, but we would not exchange this distance for good night sleep. It is very quiet area. The swimming pool is nice so is the hotel restaurant Gustaves. The restaurant is very popular in Avignon. No surprise that they served outstanding French breakfast buffet with high quality food. We enjoyed a lunch and dinner there as well. We wish we stayed in that hotel and in Avignon a couple of days longer. Loved 100% and absolutely was worth staying there in all respects.

We hadden een mooie en ruime suite die goed schoon was. De bedden lagen heerlijk. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Er is tevens een fijn zwembad en een fitness.
Het restaurant is ook zeer goed.
