Pros:

The hotel felt like a more 'classic' hotel, with winding stairs and long hallways. It's conveniently located in the centre and I was able to get to all my planned activities on foot. My room had all the amenities I'd expect. The bathroom was well-maintained and the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The room was quite dusty (somewhat dated) and I woke up with itchy eyes.

Ideal hotel for overnight stop, just off the ferry from Craignure, Isle of Mull. Parking on street free until 8am then 2 hours "to be paid for". Ate in bar, manager served us himself. Good food cooked to order. Quiet room upstairs. Good breakfast, again cooked to order.

Cons:

The lift was " a bit slow" if a lot of people were using it.

Excellent staff, spacious room, and a pleasant 2-day stay in the heart of Oban

Excellent central location, right in the middle of Oban. Staff absolutely fantastic - welcoming, professional, dedicated to ensuring customers have a pleasant stay. Beautiful view over Oban bay from my room on the 5th floor. Recently modernised bathroom. Only paid for breakfast for 1 night but it was a fine cooked breakfast, although bit on the expensive side at £14.95 as an add-on. I paid for a standard single room but must have been upgraded as I ended up in quite a spacious double bedroom.

Cons:

Some aspects of the interior of the hotel feel quite dated. Top floor had a leak in the ceiling with buckets to collect any drips. As this is a very old building refurbishment must be quite difficult and costly, but I hope the hotel's new owners could address these issues.

Good value for money and pleasant, efficient staff.
Pros:

The bar meal was very good & breakfast also. Good central location.
Appreciated being able to leave suitcase at reception till our bus left later in the afternoon.

Cons:

Decor was a little tired.
Waterproof mattress cover made bed sweaty!

You pay for what you get, good location.
Pros:

Very convenient location. Good view, you can see the sea on higher floor(me is 5th)! Heating off but still Very warm in the room, good if you like roasty toasty, but I don’t.

Cons:

A bit run down. Opened the window all time during stay because the room is too warm but very noisy outside even at night.

Have been twice a year for past three years.
Pros:

The staff are very good. And can’t do enough for you.makes you feel welcome. The food is fantastic and good value for money.

Cons:

The bathroom was very small. And I have problems walking so not enough room for me. But did not stop us having good week.
