Pros:

Very close to major attractions but you feel you are in a quiet secluded area. There is a courtyard where you can have apperativo and watch the gondolas float by. The private dock allows water taxis to deliver you right to the hotel with no need to drag suitcases through the streets. Great breakfast. Welcoming and helpful staff. Lovely rooms.

For the price of your stay, be sure to check in early to get refurbished room.
Pros:

Great location…just steps to St Marks Square. Be sure to ask for refurbished room. Only 27 rooms in this hotel, so check in early. Beautiful breakfast room and wonderful breakfast selections. Take a water taxi right to the hotel dock.

Cons:

Had to change two of the three rooms booked. One of the rooms was adjacent to the elevator and was poorly furnished . The second was worn out and in need of refurbishing. After one night, the rooms were changed - but it took some effort on our part.

Excelente! Hermosas las habitaciones y el salón del desayuno. Todo limpio, moderno, cómodo y buena atención. La ubicación perfecta! A un paso de Piazza San Marco.
Lo que más destacamos es la atención del chico que atiende en el desayuno, creo que se llama Acsor/Axor (o algo similar), súper atento, predispuesto y recordaba las bebidas que nos gustaban para desayunar, algo que hace que uno se sienta muy cómodo!
El café con leche fantástico, según mi novio es el más rico que ha probado.
Nos permitieron dejar las valijas después del check out.
Nada para criticar, súper recomendable!!

Breakfast staff was wonderful!!

Cons:

One staff member at reception desk rude and impatient, but others were kind and helpful.
Complimentary water is only given first day even though we paid for three days.

Cons:

My interpretation of the other positive reviews must have set my expectations too high. The location is excellent, as mentioned, but that was about it. The room, while large, was dark and felt as if in a cave. The overuse of perfumes/fresheners throughout the property was overwhelming. The breakfast was a lackluster offering. The breakfast staff was kind and helpful, but the front desk staff were snobby and acted bothered by any question or inquiry.

Location of hotel, breakfast, staff, quiet garden, and room were all top notch!
Pros:

Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very attentive. Great selection.
Location was perfect. Our room looked over the canal and when we arrived we took a water taxi right to the beautiful hotel patio. We were 3 blocks from St. Mark’s Square, but it was quiet…..No Traffic!!

A superb stay in a fabulous hotel, thank you!
Pros:

I stayed at the Donà palace last year and was so impressed we returned for a night this year as part of a wider trip around Italy. The breakfast room had been updated and as before the staff are exceptional, the courtyard amazing where you can easily while away an hour or two with a cocktail watching the gondolas going by. Breakfast selection is superb and our room was lovely. An excellent hotel with superb facilities and location, I can’t recommend enough. Thank you to all, we hope to return one day
