Pros:

Rooms are tired and could be cleaner. Food is average at best. Only saving grace is the staff are friendly and do and good job.

It was uncomfortable & felt depressing & dark & I was glad to leave.

It was close to where I was visiting.

Cons:

I checked in late at 10pm, my room wasn’t ready as they were apparently in the process of giving it to someone who wanted a bath ..so I was getting the room she had been in. I was told only 2 staff members on so it was difficult .
The room was cold with no heating working. The room was dusty & very worn , curtains etc needed cleaning or replacing. Walls had plaster applied & not repainted. The shower overshoots the tray & spill area & flooded the floor when used.

Lovely stay.
Pros:

Lovely hotel and the food at the restaurant was perfect. We had an evening meal and breakfast.

Cons:

Road outside too busy to walk along (no footpath) but not the hotels fault!

Great location but could do with some tweaks.
Pros:

The location was ideal for the area where we were working for the three days. Food was good and well presented.

Cons:

Arriving the corridor which lead to the downstairs rooms was still being cleaned and had bedding and towels everywhere - I expect staff hadn't turned up and relief was called in but couldn't start until later - second morning kitchen had run out of eggs for breakfast and it wasn't as though there were many in the dining area for breakfast - felt for the floor staff as it wasn't their fault. Service was slightly slow and seemed to be a lack of staff. Also lack of milk in room for tea and coffee - asked at reception but none arrived.

Pros:

Bathroom was okay with good shower but bath was poor with the drain plug being stuck unable to move it

Cons:

No remote for tv and given a tub of remotes to figure it out myself, steam from shower set off fire alarm which was then unable to be reset, was in bed dozing off to be woken up to a mouse in the room rustling, eating the biscuits on the side which caused a night of no sleep trying to catch it. Was no one about to make a complaint and have asked for a refund and had one message since. Would never recommend staying here whatsoever and I'm disappointed in the service and room we were provided for the price I paid.

Disappointing would not return
Pros:

Looked lovely from the outside and the staff were very helpful

Cons:

Cup was dirty in room. Walls were covered in marks. Carpet had a burn in it. There was a horrible damp smell in the room and corridor outside. Mash was lumpy and ice cream was freezer burnt.

a great relaxing weekend in a lovely hotel with great food. Perfect base for my two day seminar.
Pros:

Excellent breakfast - my favourite on the menu.
Great service and very help and friendly.
Lovely outdoor sitting areas and we went for a great evening walk along the nearby river.

Cons:

the bed was a bit soft and with two people in it we did roll together.

Overpriced, charged us for deluxe for 2 rooms which were standard, threadbare carpets, mold, a lot of it!! Marks on walls, rusty shower, poor breakfast, lack of security, side door just left open!horrible rooms.
