Beautiful location, clean & comfortable room, exterior and pet area need attention
Pros:

Great location, very near to Asilomar Dunes and the very beautiful State Beach. Quiet, comfortable. I enjoyed easy access to Asilomar's dining & bar area as well.

Cons:

Despite an etched arrow on the bathtub faucet I was never able to get the shower to work. It was too early in the morning to get help from staff, so a disappointing way to start the day. One of the washcloths offered had stains. The room itself was clean and nice. The exteriors of the Inn could use some refreshing.
What looked like a small, unmarked pet latrine area in a corner off the parking lot had a fair amount of trash (potentially dangerous for dogs to pick up). This area well below par for all other pet-friendly lodging we've used. The website advertises a love for pets but the Inn offered no instructions (e.g. about pottying) or other signs of welcome.

Very comfortable hotel and good deal for the area with a great and quiet location
Pros:

Good location very close to great ride pool, good restaurants, monterrey aquarium. Very comfortable rooms and staff was very kind

We usually stay here if we come during peak season when prices in Monterey and Carmel are much higher.
Pros:

It’s in a convenient location not too far from the beach and the value is much better than Monterey or Carmel.

Cons:

It’s pretty basic accommodation but fine for a night or two. If you want luxury linen and plush towels then stay elsewhere.

I might stay overnight, but I wouldn’t want to stay more than that but we won’t be staying here again.
Pros:

The owner was nice and professional. I also like the location in Pacific Grove.

Cons:

The entire facility needed an update. Painting, having matching light bulbs in the bathroom, the bathroom tub constantly leaked water, the carpet was old, the covers were old, etc..

always the best place to stay quick walk to the beach and I can take my doggies with. We love the room features and the closeness of the beach.

It was wonderful !
Pros:

The tiny deer were an attraction to the kids. It was so easy to walk to the beach and enjoy the ocean and wonderful views. The weather was better than we expected. Our family was happy to be so close to each other and have comfortable beds. The fireplace made feel like at home. The staff was helpful with maps and anything we asked.

Cons:

We would have preferred to have bigger pillows.

Asilomar beach is our favorite and this location is very close.
