All rooms with balcony, offering panoramic sea views, Hotel Calabona is just a 15-minute walk from Alghero's historic center served by a free shuttle bus. It offers an outdoor pool, free WiFi and a private beach. Paying Parking.

Loved the nice deep pool, the bar service, the rooms were lovely and clean and a lovely temperature.

The staff were absolutely lovely throughout.

Very nice to hotel to stay in, very relaxed atmosphere.

Cons:

Unfortunately upon check-in one of the ladies who checked us in was pretty passive-aggressive and condescending. This started the holiday on a sour note. But it was the only negative interaction we had. Everyone else was delightful.

Also you are a fair walk out of the town, so if it's very hot it can be a sweaty walk in. They do have the shuttle but it was max 8 people so a big group like ours often had to split who got to go and who had to walk.

A wonderful and relaxing stay — would definitely recommend!
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in a great location with lovely views. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

Nothing to complain about. Everything met our expectations and we had a very pleasant stay.

We had a lovely stay. Staff are fabulous. Lovely rooms, great pool, lovely food in the bistro. Lovely breakfast.
Pros:

The best thing about the property was the staff. Genuinely have never stayed anywhere where the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Every person made the effort to say good morning, welcome etc. Excellent.

Cons:

The air con was not that cold in our room and apparently couldn’t be improved. Was fine in our kids room. It did work , just not that cold. However not a big issue.
Charging 3 euro per towel per time for swim pool area seems quite a lot.
