Mooi groot afgelegen hotel aan zee.
Pros:

Zeer comfortabel hotel met uitzicht op zee

Cons:

Het is wel een behoorlijk groot hotel. In de directe omgeving zijn geen restaurants, pubs of winkels.

Pros:

Overall very good, lady serving breakfast 2nd morning could do with a course on dealing with guests a little better.

Cons:

On one of the finest days of the year, the lady serving in the afternoon telling every guest that there was no out door eating and everybody had to eat inside!! Not sure if she was worried about us getting sunburnt or couldn’t be bothered bringing out the food!!!

Lovely location, great fitness and pool facilities

Cons:

Reception staff were not the most helpful. We checked into our room and had a large bag of rubbish from the previous occupant on the floor, chewing gum on the bedside table and on the floor at the foot of the bed. We took the bag of rubbish to reception and then told them we also had had a shower and had no body wash or shampoo in our bottles, they said they would send someone up while we had dinner, when we returned to the room all that had been done is a bottle of liquid soap was placed on the floor of the bathroom, no shampoo or shower gel refilled, bar staff couldn’t make any drinks requested as main bar was closed and small pub bar didn’t have the same facilities they said, the bar member was very nice and friendly and this was not their fault but they couldn’t use the main bar so options were extremely limited.

The location is lovely . It had a lovely breakfast .

Cons:

The cleanliness of the room was definitely not up to scratch . Particularly the bathroom . Also black does skirtings show up all the dust and dirt and it just wasn’t great .

Bistro food was excellent and lots of staff there, maybe relocate a few of them elsewhere

Nice bedroom let down by the dated bathroom.
Lack of staff was evident- very late check in time, room barely available for 4pm and others queuing were told their rooms were not ready.
Small detail but no take away coffee cups available at restaurant or bar.
Foul smell on entering the reception from outside- I recommend lighting candles etc, as smell was also in the lifts.

Schönes Hotel am Meer
Pros:

Hotel liegt direkt am Meer schöne grosszügige Zimmer.

Cons:

Bedienung im Restaurant war sehr langsam, haben für Getränke 1 Stunde gewartet für das Essen 1,5 Stunde. Essen war nicht überwältigend.

An unusual hotel experience
Pros:

The location, the new Lighthouse Bistro, the Cocktail Bar - only open one night of our stay, special note to John at Cocktail Bar and Jose at Lighthouse Bistro. The bedroom was so big and well decorated, the bed was really comfortable.

Cons:

The cleanliness of the main corridors and the access to pool, false nail floating around the pool as well as some plasters. The noted comfortable bed was great but awoken both mornings at 7am on my holidays, morning one by drills and hammering, morning two by hammering and screaming children next door, where their room interconnected to ours, so like living room with them for the morning . As a mother of older children I think we probably should have just been roomed close to older guests!!!!
