Will be back! I love Glen Royal hotel
Pros:

I love Maynooth and the accessibility to walk to so many good restaurants and pubs. The hotel staff is friendly, and we loved the breakfast.

Cons:

Pool closed too early! We wanted to enjoy it longer

Good facilities but lacklustre staff.
Pros:

Our room was comfortable and clean. The free car parking was good. Location near the station was excellent. Having an adult in swimming pool was a huge plus.

Cons:

The staff were lacking warmth and gave the impression of just going through the motions. It was especially noticeable in the restaurant where tables weren’t cleared and there were was no joined up thinking.

Will return again to this lovely friendly hotel
Pros:

Love the location, it’s only short walk to Main Street of village. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

Room 161. Didnt like not having a bath in the family room or a proper aircon unit. No fridge in room either.

The small portable aircon unit was very loud and not adequate to cool the room to a comfortable temperature despite being left on when we were away from room. I presume these are in all rooms as they had a unit which was built around it.

The baby pool was too cool.

The manager just said no one else complained about the noise of the train which I find hard to believe
Pros:

It was central to the town and university

Cons:

It was big and expensive
The decor was old and worn
We were placed in room 292 which was a long walk to the back of the hotel
The room was very close to the train track
Every 30 mins from 6 am there was a very loud noise as the train went by.
I came out of the room exhausted.

Really nice , food was lovely and a lovely thoughtful birthday card and chocolate for my sons birthday , and on arrival

The staff lovely lady at the front reception I wish I got her name , short dark hair , such a lovely lady

Pros:

Staff were so nice and helpful. A very special mention to Eduarda from Reception who was exceptionally helpful. She also found keys we left in Reception and traced it back to us! A lovely person!

Amazing, we will definitely stay again
Pros:

Eduarda I believe her name was, checked us in, and was absolutely amazing!!! She was so friendly and helpful, and it really improved our entire experience. She had a great knowledge of places to see and food to try!

Friendly , relaxed with good food
Pros:

Excellent staff at reception. Very helpful and kind on check in. That continued as we met more staff in different areas who created a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
