Overall this hotel is an awesome place to stay when visiting New Orleans! Would recommend!!
Pros:

The hotel was beautiful, the room was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable! They were doing a renovation on the lower level when we stayed there but I look forward to returning to see the finished space!

Cons:

There are no negatives as far as I am concerned. Everything at this hotel is thoughtfully picked out to make you have a wonderful experience. The location is also great and the hotel rooms were very quiet!

I should have been warned that the hotel was under construction for my entire stay. Typically when people are on vacatio
Pros:

I like the history of the hotel

Cons:

I’m very disappointed that when I booked through booking.com that I was not told that this hotel would be under construction the entire stay. And being woken up with hammer and sewing at 7 AM and having to walk around a maze to find our room. Also that the beautiful bar that I planned on meeting friends for my 50th birthday was under construction and we could not use That part of the hotel. As well as the press room poorly represented I would’ve chosen another hotel since I had many friends flying in from Chicago to meet me to celebrate my birthday.

Pros:

Location was outstanding and the first floor spaces were very nice

Cons:

We were given 2 king bed rooms on the first floor street level. They were very very dark and extremely small even by New Orleans standards.

Beautiful boutique property in excellent NOLA location.
Pros:

The property is beautiful and in the perfect New Orleans location - just outside of the French Quarter but so easily walkable to the convention center or FQ if needed. The front desk staff person who checked us in - Brian - was wonderful. He was bright and friendly.

Cons:

The Eliza Jane was originally a Hyatt property when I booked our stay using Hyatt points. I'm a New Orleans native and was heading to town for a family wedding. A month before our stay we were told the property was switching from Hyatt to Marriott. I tried several times to contact hotel booking after the Marriott transition to see what my options were. There was no response. From anyone. Our reservation ended up being cancelled. When I called Mariott corporate, I was offered a $425 room rate. It was a mess. Ultimately we booked via Booking.com for a decent rate because there was very little available in the city for the weekend we were visiting. Ultimately Brian at the front desk - and the hotel facilities themselves- helped redeem this property for us. We ended up having a good experience and will return on our next trip.

Beautiful property terrible upkeep.
Pros:

Beautiful architecture and location

Cons:

A mouse was running around at the bar which was absolutely disgusting to see, particularly while eating. Also there was no hot water and we had to take a cold shower. After speaking with the front desk multiple times the issue was never resolved.

Pros:

Concierge was extremely knowledgeable, complimentary breakfast was great, the bed was super comfortable and the location ideal.

Cons:

King room was smaller than I thought. Would have been a great value for money if the room was larger and a checkout without surcharge would have been allowed.
