This hotel was absolutely beautiful, and I genuinely enjoyed my stay—except for the service.
When we checked in, we were given a room that wasn’t ready. We went upstairs only to find the room still messy, so we had to come back downstairs and have our room changed.
Unfortunately, the issues didn’t end there. When we checked out, we received an invoice for the city tax, which we expected and paid. Two days later, however, I noticed additional charges on my credit card. I called the hotel three separate times to ask what the charges were for. Each time, I was told they weren’t sure, that someone would call me back, and no one ever did.
I came to The Eliza Jane after transferring from another Marriott property that did not meet my expectations, and after a very frustrating experience with Marriott Bonvoy customer service, I decided to call the hotel directly—and I’m so glad I did.
Brian was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and truly went above and beyond to turn a bad situation into a great stay. He has exceptional people skills and made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.
When he left for the day, Orrionne took over and was just as wonderful. She has such a warm New Orleans personality that instantly makes you feel at home. Her restaurant recommendations were absolutely spot on—trust her!
Brian and Orrionne exemplify true hospitality. They completely turned my experience around, and I can’t thank them enough. The Eliza Jane is lucky to have them, and I will definitely be back!
Our stay at The Eliza Jane during Mardi Gras 2025 fell completely short of expectations. Despite paying premium holiday rates, we were assigned a tiny, windowless room that was incredibly claustrophobic and ill-suited for a family of five. On top of the dismal room layout, the service from the front desk was consistently unprofessional and unhelpful. We came to New Orleans for a family wedding, but the overall experience here ended up ruining what should have been a special vacation. I would strongly advise families to look elsewhere
It was chic and comfortable, it felt like a home away from home!
They charge you for things you didn’t use and say they can’t refund them. And suggest you do a claim with your credit card company per Vaughn Collins manager. Also, that is after he said he would call me back but did not many times!!!
Orrione was amazing with customer services. Orrione explained everything and answered all of my questions. Mario the valet was amazing as well. I wanted to give a special thank you to these two. I will definitely stay here again!
I wish I had more time at this hotel. I only flew in for a day, and was upgraded to the Publisher’s Suite. This is quite possibly one of the best suites of which I’ve stayed. The dual walk-in shower + standalone tub was amazing. There was enough room for me to work separately and not feel cramped. The decor of the hotel was dark and vintage. I loved it all. The bartender, Adam, serves up amazing drinks, and Orrione (st the desk) was amazing throughout my stay. I’ll definitely be back.
Okkione took very good care of me, I travel a lot and she went above and beyond on making me feel right at home
This place is great service was amazing. I made a mistake on my check out date Orrione and was business at the conference. She held my room, rebooked me and did it all with a smile. It was completely my fault and she handled it like a pro. The service at the front desk and the bartender were both amazing. I highly recommend.
I liked that it was central located to everything that I had planned to do. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable.
-The $100 fee
-The water took a long time before it got hot
-I was not able to get my bill when I checked out and still have yet to receive it.
-The guy that checked me in did not tell me I had a $18 credit per day to use at the bar or restaurant. I found out because I overheard him tell 2 guests on my second day there and when I asked about it he didn’t apologize for not telling me therefore I since I found out late I didn’t get to fully use it all.
Great hotel for business or pleasure!! Rooms are well appointed and timeless, so many unique public spaces to relax and unwind. From the Doorman to the front Desk agent, Orrione, to the Press Room bartender Adam, everyone is gracious and genuine
The best hotel and Orrione is the best!! She’s such great customer service and one reason I keep coming back
Orrione provided a fabulous check in! Beautiful room and experience overall. Will come back!
