The atmosphere at this hotel was just amazing. I love history and this was such a special hotel that we will be coming back to. We have three teenage sons and they actually sat in the library areas and enjoyed time outside of our room with us- which they have never done. We had the parm fries from the bar area and drinks- both fantastic. The outdoor area equally as wonderful. The bartender went out of his way to make it an experience for our children not just another hotel. The front desk staff- outstanding. We stayed in suite, traveling with five, large very accommodating room and i was surprised we didn’t pay more. There was no pool, which our children do enjoy, but given the location, and the atmosphere there, we didn’t miss it. Located right next to the Sazerac, afforded more as well. We did eat breakfast at the hotel- very well done and again, the staff was superb. Can’t wait to come back, although i may not leave the hotel. This is a hotel that is an experience in itself, it will enrich your experience in New Orleans.
The aesthetic was awesome. Beds were so comfy. Bar was such a good vibe and drinks were 10/10. So clean and feels luxury!
The Eliza Jane is beautiful. The staff were amazing and the hospitality was superb - especially Brian at the front desk - he went above and beyond in accommodating my fickle requests and continued to check-in with me throughout my stay.
The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that there were unexpected upgrades and work they were doing in some areas of the hotel which did impact me during my stay - but the staff doing the work - especially Howard in engineering - were also very kind and accommodating as best they could. Water pressure was also meh and the only disappointment.
I would stay here again and recommend it!
Smooth check in with Orrione who was professional and friendly
The hotel was really nice, in a great location. The area felt safe and the staff were really helpful.
I paid a little extra for a bigger room and it just seemed like the average room - nothing special and more expensive for what we got
Great vibes and the staff were wonderful! Was clean and felt very safe !!
Nothing!
I had a great time at the Eliza Jane. The hotel is beautiful! Orrione checked us in-she was so helpful, so friendly, and professional. The hospitality there is second to none. We felt welcome and cared for. The food and drinks were great. I loved it there and would stay there again. Location is perfect, close to everything but on a less busy side street. The rooms were spacious and clean. We booked directly through Amex so we got a room upgrade. We also got early check in and late check out. We felt spoiled. I miss it!
Location, the reception staff were fab, but it seems booking.com did not put 2 rooms on the booking even though we had booked 2 rooms - not sure if it was the hotel or booking.com
That we were charged for 5 rooms not 2 and had to call and sort out which was annoying!
Orrione was such a joy!! She really took great care of the group I was with!! From city recommendations to the hotel information and accommodation!! The room was beautiful and the hotel felt so inviting!!
Decorated beautifully
Wonderful staff
Easy walking to great restaurants
Property was beautiful
Location and lobby
Room was warm all night.
Location was nice, lobby and bar would have been nice if not under construction.
Our room was small and had zero, and I mean zero, lighting. We had to use cell phone flashlights to do anything. A request to provide a lamp was ignored. One night had booming construction and ventilation noise constantly, keeping us up all night. Calls to staff to try to find out what was going on yielded only indifference.
We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere at the Eliza Jane. Service was excellent at check in, the restaurants and maintenance. A clear standout is Orrione who greeted us as we checked in and kept checking on us constantly throughout our three night stay. She is a wonderful ambassador of the Eliza Jane!
Orrione is ICONIC! 10/10 service! I have absolutely no notes, the best hotel experience I’ve ever had.
The Elize Jane Hotel is a one of a kind hotel! No cookie cutter design here! Beautifully decorated making one feel right at home in New Orleans aesthetic. The hotel employees went above and beyond to enhance the experience. This was true of the front desk staff, concierge, restaurant employees, the bartenders and housekeeping. We received sightseeing tips and advice on how to best get around the City. And when it was time to leave, we received assistance with transportation to the airport. It was a full service experience. One of our favorite things was the live music! We so enjoyed the atmosphere and the music. There is also a beautiful outdoor space to relax and enjoy a cool beverage. Our room was comfortable, thoughtfully decorated and had plenty of space. We highly recommend the Eliza Jane!
We love staying at the Elijah Jane hotel in the CBD District in New Orleans. Orrione was fantastic. So welcoming and extremely hospitable upon check-in Neil and Adam at the hotel bar are top tier. Do yourselves a favor and book at this hotel for a great experience. Rooms are modern and clean. The environment is quiet and upscale.
Nice hotel. Love the swanky atmosphere and everyone was very nice, especially the bellman, Devon.
