Friendly, cozy boutique hotel - stay away from the big chains and spend your time here!
Pros:

I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times, usually on solo vacations - this time I had my 5yo son with me for his first trip to PR. We love the beach access (it's right outside the door!) and the walkability to local shops, Condado etc. The rooms are cozy and have tile floors, very practical for the reality of constant beach sand :) AC is cold and showers are hot. Plenty of space to spread out your stuff, too. Staff in both the hotel and the Nichë attached restaurant are friendly. The swimming pool is on an upper floor, outside - very pleasant especially after dark. The food at Nichë is first-class, with menu items such as escargots prepared with a PR style, croque-madame, and generally excellent food for both dinner and brunch.

Cons:

Nothing; I love this hotel which is why I keep coming back. If you are a first time visitor, two things you might want to consider are a) tours generally only pickup/dropoff at the huge hotels, but mostly they will also pick up at e.g. the close by Supermax, which is like a $6 Uber/Lyft away, and b) this hotel, or at least all the rooms I've ever stayed in, are shower-only, no bathtubs. This is more practical for the reality that you'll be bringing in sand with you :)

Pros:

La piscina y el ambiente del lugar. Tranquilo y privado.

Cons:

Hay problemas con el wifi y television. La piscina bella pero pensé iba a estar un poco más caliente. Estaba templada el agua. Tiene facilidades de corrientes de agua estilo jacuzzi pero no servian.

Stay Away
Pros:

I have traveled extensively around the world, and thousands of travelers read my reviews. I am sharing this experience because I believe prospective guests deserve to have all relevant information before deciding whether to book this property.

There are currently water shortage issues affecting the area, yet this was not disclosed on the property's website when I booked, nor was Expedia made aware of the situation. Had I known about the water issues beforehand, I would not have booked these dates.

Rather than cancel, I asked for what I considered a reasonable solution: allow me to move my reservation to late September. The property refused.

What has been most disappointing is the response from management. Based on my experience dealing with the management associated with this property, El Canario, and At Wind Chimes, I have not felt that my concerns as a customer were taken seriously or that there was any genuine effort to find a reasonable solution.

I have now asked Expedia to escalate this matter to its management team.

My advice to other travelers is simple: do your research very carefully before booking this property, particularly regarding current water availability and any restrictions that could affect your stay. I would not recommend booking here based on my experience. Travelers deserve transparency about conditions that may significantly affect their vacation before their money is taken, not after.
