Hotel Ella

As an avid traveler, I've distilled my taste down to a science. Hotel Ella has almost everything I could ask for.
The location is ideal- it's within walking distance of so many restaurants, several museums, and the capital. Once inside the property, it feels like an oasis in the mix of Austin.

Room- I stayed in a room with access to the pool and highly recommend it. I didn't have to worry about renting a cabana and had a small patio that was very convenient (especially with kids). The room was exceptionally basic which didn't bother me but just noteworthy for those looking for a more "aesthetic" living space.

Everything was tidy and the facilities felt well taken care of. The staff was so kind and friendly. Austii was gracious enough to allow me to check in early which is rare these days.

My only issue was room service - it was completely down one of the days I stayed and there was no digital way to order. It wasn't a big deal to call but one of my main reasons for opting for hotels with restaurants is the convenience of having things delivered.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will.be recommending I this place to everyone.

This Hotel is a great location for my visits to Austin to see family. The rooms are large and have everything you need. I was greeted by Armel at the valet stand. Always friendly and smiling. Austii and Caroline at the front desk, Michael, Christian and Max in the bar area are all very professional, fun, accommodating and made for a great week long stay! The pool is amazing! I highly recommend this Hotel Ella!

Austii was an incredible host, superb energy, accommodating and incredible. 10/10 experience. highly recommend.

Hotel Ella was an amazing hotel, I had this gentleman named divine I believe so helped me with my luggage and kept a fun conversation with me

Austii at the front desk was lovely and the hotel is very charming. My room had zero view - a concrete wall just a few feet from my Juliet balcony. Otherwise a good stay and certainly a convenient location.

Raven ,the women at the front desk was so polite and friendly to work with.
The server was busy so she got ice teas for us on the veranda. I asked about some drawings by an artist from UT She stopped what she was and took us around the building to the doors we could go in and check out the art.
What a genuine asset to your business.

Staff is great, nice accommodations

Very relaxing, close to the action, great food. Amazing place for a short staycation.

Excellent customer service from the valet to the reception desk.
Enjoyed the cozy pool and morning coffee on the beautiful porch.

Came to Austin for the UT swim camp for my son and stayed at Hotel Ella for a week. The whole staff was wonderful but Austii went above and beyond her job duties to help fix a problem we had at check in. Every day after that we saw her she was so friendly and helpful. Christian was so friendly offering advice on what to do around town and getting fresh ice and water for my son’s water bottle every morning before camp and asking if we needed anything else. From check in to valet I can’t say enough about how polite and professional the staff is. When we come to camp next year we will happily return to the hotel Ella.

Beautiful hotel with super friendly staff. I arrived a few hours before check in on Monday and everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. I had lunch and hung out in the lounge for a bit and they had my room ready in what felt like no time.
The room was cozy and beautiful. The restaurant is delicious, and everyone I interacted with from the valley to the hotel manager was a lovely person, especially Drew at the front desk. This is a shining example

Stay far away from this hotel. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was so bad that I feel obligated to warn other travelers.

Things started off poorly with a text from Hotel Ella on the day of arrival informing us that their courtyard pool patio was rented out for a private event, meaning no access from Saturday through Sunday morning. This was especially frustrating since we paid extra for a “premium poolside room” specifically to relax before a wedding.

From there, it only got worse.

Our flight was delayed for hours due to a rainstorm in Austin, and we arrived exhausted around 1:00am. We were then told that our prepaid, non-refundable room had been canceled and given to another guest.

The manager was dismissive and unhelpful. He said it was not his responsibility because they had informed Expedia prior to our arrival, and that Expedia should find us another accommodation. There was no attempt to assist us directly.

As a result, we had to leave in the middle of the night and find another hotel on our own.

Friends who stayed at the property were also disappointed. They described the rooms as small, dated, and not reflective of the photos online.

The hotel is located on a busy commercial street, which also detracts from the overall experience if you are looking for a relaxing stay.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. There is a real risk you may not have a room upon arrival, and even if you do, the accommodations may not meet expectations. I strongly recommend choosing another hotel.
