Location
Office staff while checking in and 25 dollars a day to park a motorcycle at a hotel you paid to stay at
Great location. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The place was clean.
Breakfast did not look very appetizing so we did not eat at the hotel.
$25 dollars per night parking that we were not expecting to be added on. When I arrived at the hotel at 9pm no one was at the front desk and I had to wait more than 5 minutes for the attendant to appear from off the elevator.
Great location, dirty hotel shouldn't be associated with Hilton. The floors in our room were wet like they just shampooed the room. The tile floor was sticky. Breakfast buffet had cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagels / toast and hard boiled eggs. So if you consider a hard boiled egg and toast you will be good. When we checked out we told the gal at the front desk about our damp, dirty room and she said sorry about that.... Not a good response to Hilton Diamond member...
The property was in a great location. We were able to walk to the old quarter and fort. For the winery and distillery we got a pass for the old town trolley which had a stop within a couple blocks. The hotel was also very clean. The breakfast was a solid continental breakfast.
The beds were quite firm and the bedding rather thin with no additional blanket available. There were no hot items for breakfast like meat or hot eggs.
Very friendly staff and very clean hotel
Convenient and easy.
Beds and pillows are old. Even with the modern vibe in lobby. Hotel was old and needs new beds and pillows. Swimming pool and hot tub needs a complete refinish; it’s all chipped and worn out on bottom, just looks nasty.

Excellent location when you don't have a car. Short walking distance to everything in the historical district. Breakfast was very basic. Good enough for me though. Great alternative options next door and nearby. We found we did need to walk into the historical distric for dinner though as nearby places closed in the afternoon. We felt safe walking around day and night. Friendly and very helpful reception staff, offering great advice on getting to Orlando. I would definately be staying there should I visit St Augustine again. Comfortable rooms.
After a very long drive, we arrived at our Airbnb only to open the door to a strong stench of mildew and musty odor. We turned around and left, and at 9pm we were left driving around St.Augustine desperately looking for a hotel room. Landed on Spark about 2 hrs later and checked in. The lobby was new and clean but overly fragrant with air deodorizer which should have been a dead giveaway that beyond the lobby would be dark and musty. The room was dingy and mildew smelling, as were the hallways… you know that smell. Not nearly as bad as the original airbnb we left but still pretty smelly. We had no choice but to stay the night at that point. Carpeting in hotel rooms just grosses me out, and every time the AC kicked on it was loud and the smell of mildew/mold permeated the air. Woke up with a headache, congested and sore throat. We left and found 2 other places to divide our time between which were excellent. The front desk lady was very nice. Had to pay to park in the hotel lot. Grab n go breakfast included. Not exactly in the heart of historic downtown St.Augustine, it’s a pretty decent walk. I wouldn’t want to walk into town then walk all over town all day sightseeing then have to walk all the way back. And we’re walkers! It served its purpose for a desperate couple that night, but Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t stay here again. Hilton is a HUGE corporation, they can definitely afford to renovate this location, not just throw some paint on the walls and pump the lobby full of air fresheners. It would be nice to offer a free shuttle into town too. It’s far enough for that to be useful, esp for older ppl or families with little kids. There is a trolley stop there but you have to purchase tickets through the trolley company. Especially for such a popular location like St.Augustine, it could be a great spot if Hilton cared a bit more and put in some effort to make it so. As a Hilton Honor members, and compared to other Hilton properties we’ve stayed, it was disappointing.
We really liked the location, close to the historic downtown area, attractions, restaurants, and more. However, this was our first experience with the Hilton Spark brand. The renovation of the property (formerly Comfort Suites, I believe) was minimal, but it was ok if your expectations aren't too high. Our room and bathroom were clean enough, but a little sparsely furnished. The breakfast was pretty much as described, not hot, not deluxe at all, but adequate for a few days. It's a little hard to see how the Spark budget brand is enhanced by the lack of in-room coffee makers, or the cool whip tub ice "buckets" which are only available at the ice machines. (But at least they do have ice machines!!!) For this specific property, some of the front desk attendants were rude, if not belligerent. As others have mentioned, there is NO early check-in and even asking only aggravates the staff. The staff seemed to struggle with computer issues and credit card charges. Also, paying for parking ($25) at this type of property seems to be taking advantage of customers. But, parking in this area of St. Augustine is at a premium so parking your vehicle and walking is the best way to get around.
