Great location and a nice, friendly staff.
Pros:

+ Location - practically in the centre of Reykjavik
+ Staff - friendly
+ Morning breakfast - a good one
+ Room (in general) - an OK room, warm and relatively clean. There is a thermostat you can turn on/off. It was on the nice 4th floor. There is a small elevator you can take if you have a suitcase to carry.

Cons:

- I could not get dinner at the hotel after 9 pm (I am not sure I was informed during check-in that the kitchen closes earlier than 9 pm);
- I asked for a breakfast package on the day of my check-out. I felt like they didn't put much thought into this package;
- The toilet was somehow dirty on my arrival (could have been a liquid they poured to clean it beforehand; I could not tell);
- The bathroom got soaked with water once I took a shower. Not the most convenient space.

Pros:

A cosy hotel on a quiet street, yet just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre. There are lots of lovely restaurants and cafés nearby, and the main shopping streets are also within easy walking distance. A great location for exploring the city.

Love this hotel, it's staff is wonderful, location is convenient and would definitely come back.
Pros:

Room had everything. Generouse with towels. The lobby, restaurant area is lovely and the breakfast is wonderful. Has a workout room and coffee all day. Super quiet neighborhood so restful sleep..

Cons:

Room was actually too small for twin beds. Little room for luggage in the room. Room had everything but was just very tight for two travellers

Comfortable Hotel near City Center
Pros:

Very clean room, comfortable bed & pillows, very helpful staff, forgot the name of the young lady at the reception who delivered my dinner to our room before I could go down to pick it up, even gave us breakfast bag “take away” with juices, fruits, oatmeals, snack bars for the following morning as we had to leave early. Short walk to the City Center, paid parking in front of the hotel. There’s also a Thai Restaurant a few steps away. Would stay there again.

The room could have better ventilation. After taking a shower, there was quite a lot of steam in the room, and it took a while for it to clear.

We also had an early flight and needed to leave the hotel at 7:30 a.m. Since breakfast starts at 7:30, we mentioned this to the receptionist the day before. He told us that it would be okay to come down at 7:15, as they would already be preparing breakfast. Based on this information, we came down at 7:15 the following morning, but the receptionist told us that breakfast was not available until 7:30 and that we would have to wait.

Considering that we paid €250 per night, I think it would be nice for the hotel to be a little more flexible in situations like this, or perhaps offer an alternative breakfast option for guests with early flights. I’m sure we are not the only guests who occasionally need to leave before breakfast officially starts.

This is my second stay at Local 101 and I will return again.
Pros:

The hotel has a good location near bus stop 4. It’s a short walk to shopping and restaurants, but in a quiet street so we slept well. We were able to have a room with two twin beds. The room came with breakfast in their small restaurant. We also had dinner there and the food was great!

Cons:

The room was quite small and had no place to leave an open suitcase - no room for a luggage rack. However, it was sufficient for our use.

The room was spacious, parking is free, and a few minutes drive to the airport.

Cons:

The carpet in the room had stains, this ruined the cleanliness of the room. On Booking.com, it was stated that breakfast was included but lady at the reception said it was a mistake. Such a misleading information. I met one older gentleman by the lobby who was asking me about breakfast and had to tell him there was none. One more thing, on the confirmation, check-In time is at 4PM but in reality, it was 5 PM. Also, check-out time is 10 AM when most other places do it at 11 AM.

Wat ik echt waardeerde was het goede eten sávonds en de sfeer is prima
Pros:

Kamer is modern, met goede bedden. Badkamer is wel klein. Alleen met wc en douche. Wasbak op de kamer, deze is echt veel te klein.

Cons:

Badkamer moet echt groter.
