The resort was pretty the beach area was very welcoming and made for the best sunsets!!
We were offered a daily happy hour from 6pm-8pm at there outdoor bar area, but then they never opened it the entire week and gave us no reason why. The bed sheets were stained on the bed we asked for new sheets and the rude and very unprofessional manager never had housekeeping get them for us and didn’t apologize but only got ruder when we asked again about it. There was black hair throughout the room in the bed in the bathroom on the toilet. We asked the housekeeper for fresh towels and she showed us that she didn’t have any clean towels at all in the linen closets. There was local fisherman from the keys fisheries that were using the pool area and being loud and smoking cigarettes in the pool area even though there was no smoking signs. The hot tub wasn’t hot at all it just had the jets running with Luke warm water. I cannot express enough how incredibly unpleasant the office manager was through all that we went through with this resort and we have literally stayed at over 30 different resorts in the keys and never have had any of these issues. We are about as easy going of a couple as there is and even we had had enough from the manager. We don’t recommend anyone stay and give your hard earned money towards a group of disrespectful people. On top of the fact that it was our honeymoon and they knew that it was you would of thought that they would of at least tried to accommodate us the best they could but they didn’t try at all. Our one saving grace was this wonderful woman Erika who came to this resort to try and help them get the resort in order she tried her best but unfortunately it was to late to fix all the issues we faced. They also tried to charge my credit card another 100 dollars while we were checking out which I disputed and will be contacting the BBB in response to this.
A lot we come here every year
I didn’t like that they charged me extra and I don’t know for what
The location, the sea wall by the water and the cleanliness and look of the room.
The breakfast. I wish it would have been advertised as just a snack bar or not offered at all
Central location in Marathon. Nice room. Clean location and good swimming pool. Good location for sunsets
On check in the girl didn’t smile. Not welcoming at all. She told me that I needed to pay $88 parking. Why? I am staying at the hotel.
Unclear about where our room was
We had breakfast included but she did not confirm that. In fact the only reason that breakfast was mentioned was because we asked. Her description that she could recall from the menu did not inspire and we went elsewhere for breakfast
Pointe bar says it opens at 5pm. It wasn’t. We were then told it was open at 6pm. It wasn’t and it did not open at all while we were there
There is no lift to the second floor for cases
There are no pool towels
There is nothing to eat and drink onsite, unless you count the extortionate soft drinks on sale in reception
Our room was not serviced at all whilst we were there. In fact I didn’t see any rooms being serviced at all
All in all our experience was quite bad and we would not return
I liked the room. And the guest area in the back was enjoyable.
I was left without towels for 3 days.
The breakfast they offer is all prepackaged: bagel, muffin, and danishes. Apple and oranges. That’s it.
There’s milk ,juice and yogurt. That’s it.
The dock fees are ridiculous. 25ft minimum: $4 / foot. Per day. $25 to take the boat out into the water and $25 to bring it out of the water and the trailer parking fee is per day.
Then there’s a $20 per day parking fee . TO PARK IN THE HOTEL YOU ARE PAYING TO STAY.
The back area is enjoyable.
The resort fees are abusive .
Parking fee to per day to park your car is just to take advantage of the guests .
No towels for 3 days.
Breakfast is zero effort
Property has a pool, Boat ramp, boat slips, comfortable bed, spacious room, ice machine , dog friendly, walking distance to restaurants.
Carrying our gear / stuff up the stairs to the room .
Nice place overall.
Thought I was booking an ocean view room but ended up with a driveway view. Was disappointed seeing it was our anniversary celebration.
Nothing really
It was very dirty
