The Sagebrush Inn is a beautiful historic hotel on the Paseo Del Pueblo Sur. It is a large, property with a variety of different accommodations.
I stayed in the hotel and frequently at at the Cantina across the parking lot. The cantina had great breakfasts and I encountered a lovely woman named Roberta Montoya. She took very good care of myself and my friend in serving delicious breakfasts!
Also, had a very favorable interaction with a gentleman by the name of Daniel at the front desk. He was hospitable and helpful in establishing internet connection on my iPhone.
Many thanks to these great people that made my stay at the Sagebrush a great experience.
The Sagebrush Inn has potential to be a go-to place in Taos, but is sadly in dire need of updating. The guest rooms are dingy and need carpet replaced NOW. The bathroom fixtures are very out-of-date, and the sink and toilet are set way low. The toilet in my room was set on a raised tile platform with a sharp corner just begging to bang my to into. A major trip hazard! The grounds could be really beautiful but are badly neglected.
Not much
Just the swiming pool
Location was great. We did not have breakfast. The suite was wonderful.
We did have loss of wi fi signal a lot.
Location and outward appearance was good.
No elevator
Deck on second floor soft and wood was beginning to rot. Floor in the room was slanted and hard to walk on. Centipede was in the tub and it looked like something was splattered on the bathroom wall. Bugs were in the corners of the room.
I came to Taos on a volunteer trip. Great experience. Hotel staff was great. Will stay here again. Anastacia from the front day really made the trip worth our stay. She even gave us a ride to the volunteer site. Above and beyond for the experience.
I just checked in and am writing this. My family and I arrived at 11:30pm after driving for three and a half hours. Needless to say, we were tired when we arrived. I was so looking forward to going to bed, but the room had a surprise waiting. The toilet was half taken apart and was all over the floor, and there were tools and energy drinks on the counter…someone didn’t finish their work. Luckily, the guy at the front desk (Daniel) was able to turn what would have been a disaster into a much easier situation. My aunt and I are in rooms that are complete and have working bathrooms and now I get to go to sleep. Thanks Daniel!
After what felt like the longest drive imaginable—construction, traffic, endless stretches of highway, and just about everything else that can wear you down—I finally rolled into the Sagebrush Inn in Taos completely exhausted. At that point, I just wanted to get checked in and crash for the night.
Instead, I got one of the best hotel check-in experiences I’ve ever had.
Daniel at the front desk was awesome. He got me checked in quickly, but more importantly, he had me laughing almost immediately. After spending hours getting frustrated behind the wheel, his sense of humor and genuinely friendly personality completely turned my mood around. By the time I got my room key, the stress from the trip was gone and I was actually enjoying myself again.
The hotel itself was exactly what I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and had that classic Southwestern feel that makes Taos such a unique place. Everything was well kept and made it easy to relax after a long day on the road.
What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. Great customer service is harder and harder to find these days, and Daniel reminded me how much of a difference one person can make. He didn’t just check me into a hotel—he made me feel welcome. That kind of experience sticks with you.
If you’re staying in Taos, I absolutely recommend the Sagebrush Inn. The accommodations were great, but the people are what made the stay memorable. Thanks again, Daniel, for turning a rough travel day into a great start to my trip.
Paper thin walls, banging and crying in rooms around me all night long. Family’s fighting, parents beating their kids. I felt like I was sleeping in Walmart. I called the lobby desk, no help, I called the police. They seemed scared to come.
Enjoyed my weekend stay @ Sagebrush. Checked in with Rose, very personable. We had a two bed suite with amazing views. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The mattress was comfy and the bedding was soft and freshly washed. We were in the back part of the property and on the second floor, so couldn’t hear other guests. The restaurant staff were amazing! Roberta, Isiah, Jose,Elijah and Mike. The food was delicious: Chicken Enchiladas, Nachos, Cali Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Alfredo, and Shrimp pasta dishes were all flavorful and prepared with care. This past weekend was a teacher’s convention so the staff was slammed and still professional and accommodating. The bar had a band Vanilla Pop, that was very entertaining to listen to too and they played some great songs. The pool was clean and I enjoyed the hot tub. I would definitely recommend and stay here again!!
Cute hotel with good authentic vibe. The beds were amazing and so comfortable! After sleeping at numerous hotels on this trip I can confidently state that! The hotel room was comfortable and the bathrooms were in good shape and sporting the "vintage" tile with roses. We did eat breakfast at the restaurant in the morning and it all tasted good!
Beds were very comfortable.
Ran out of coffee in the coffee bar at 8:30 am . Was offered extra packets to make coffee in room. The coffee pot in the room was very dirty and nasty. Needless not say we never got any coffee. No ice in the ice machine.
Daniel was a excellent person to me and my family. He was very welcoming and very nice and greeting right when I walked in and very professional. Aaron Molina
Daniel was exceptionally helpful. He made our stay feel easy and we can’t wait to come back
We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Sagebrush because of one staff person- Rose, at the front desk. Rose gave us wonderful recommendations for dinners and was very personable. She accommodated us when the music at the Taverne was too loud and lasted until 10:00 pm two nights in a row. Rose was the best at caring about our satisfaction at the sagebrush. Thanks!
Had a great time with Trish, very attentive and excellent service.
