Everything, location, breakfast were really good
Good
Rooms to hot and stuffy needs aircon or fans as unable to open the windows because of the road noise
Het hotel in zujn algemeenheid. Mooir locatie. Mooie kamer
It is a quaint hotel with the traditional kissing gate and anvil for weddings. James on reception was brilliant. Very helpful and friendly. Room was nice; traditional and functional.
No ev chargers at the time of our stay (which is why we had selected this hotel to stay in) but we were informed that they had been removed to be replaced by fast chargers and also where we could find others to use.
Good breakfast and nice comfortable room.
Ordered the Caesar Salad for dinner. The croutons were stale ciabatta bread, which were disgusting in taste and texture, complained that stale bread are not croutons but was told the head chef allows this????? Needless to say the Caesar Salad was removed from our bill. Felt sorry for the waitress as she was obviously getting some grief from the kitchen, sort this out Head Chef!!!
Great room, very comfortable
Dinner service staff inexperienced, delays in serving food
Beautiful setting.
The room was good, a little bit small though, breakfast was good.
The energy saving light switch was difficult to figure how it worked, would not stay on for long, especially in ensuite as it was in the corner of the room, no sunlight during day.
Room was acceptable
Dinner and service was very good
Breakfast was a let down. Many hot items not available. No white bread for toast and cups available for coffee machine were too small and led to spillages
Wonderful location food great and staff lovely
Nothing
Comfortable bed. Good location for exploring Gretna. The hotel grounds made for a nice walk, if a little noisy from the road, and the old buildings were interesting and attractive. Clean. Staff were courteous.
Decor needed refreshing, knocked and shoddy in places and felt more 3 star than a 4 star hotel. Carpet in our room was stained in several places, looked like drink or food spillage. Hotel close to road and very noisy with the window open. Items on the breakfast menu other than the buffet were not offered by the staff. Food and juice options not replenished very quickly or only after asking a staff member.
