Hotel do Canal, a great battery charger!
Pros:

Location: perfect for people who have some reduced mobility/back and knees pain.
Beautifully located facing Pico and Horta Marina, close to everything.
Hotel: beautifully decorated, has 6 social areas, with confortable couches. Loved the woollen carpets and sofas on the Insula Room.
Room: Spacious, needs some redos (mattress and closet, shower)
Staff: staff is overall friendly and focused
Breakfast: very good!
Next time in Faial i will stay here again, no doubt.

Cons:

Jacuzzi: it's extremely dirty on the skimmer, seems it has never been cleaned and bubbles aren't working.

I didn't like having to leave. Loved the Hotel and loved Horta.

Right location and comfortable
Pros:

The room was large and comfortable and fortunately we had a very clear view towards Pico. The location is ultra convenient for sightseeing bars restaurants and a nice beach for swimming. Plenty of free public parking and hotel has a large underground garage. Front desk staff very friendly

Cons:

The carpet and arm chairs were slightly tired and could do with a steam clean or replacing. I did not like being only provided with a free bottle of water on first night only and not on the other three nights of our stay, this seemed mean.

Cons:

Unfortunately we had to take an early ferry on our last day, asked if we could grab something to go ( breakfast was included) but they just ignored us. It's a pity as the rest of the service was amazing but having the lady setting up the breakfast tables ignoring me, made me feel bitter about the entire stay.
