Our stay
Pros:

The stay was fantastic. Great room, good breakfast and the rooftop restaurant was fantastic. The view is amazing. The staff in the lobby are very friendly, the same with the people who clean the rooms.

Cons:

We had room service one day and the woman who brought the food was not very nice. We experienced the same when we had lunch in the restaurant downstairs. Now that that has been said, a lovely waitress named Sara came and fixed most of it. So did Danae. Because of Sara and Danae we give everything 10 out of 10, but this is because of the apology for the behavior of one waiter. I actually expect in such an expensive hotel that the staff is not angry and so rude that the other staff have to do everything to fix it. Send the person in question on a smiling course or give her a job away from the customers. Regardless, we will be back.

Pros:

Roof top pool and bar area great for an afternoon swim and drink after sight seeing. Hotel Location was good for the Metro and tourist hop on hop off busses. Just a short walk into areas like Pisiri (15 to 20 mins). Bar and reception staff very helpful.

Cons:

Breakfast was not the best. Food was ok but very busy in a small area and breakfast staff could have been a little more friendly and welcoming.

A great short stay in Athens
Pros:

The room was quite spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed swimming in the roof top pool. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection of food.

Cons:

The curtains in the bedroom could be difficult to close. There could be more pool beds and umbrellas.

* Relaxing Two Nights in Athens After a Mediterranean Cruise
Pros:

I had a lovely stay at the Meliá Athens. The hotel is within walking distance of the city centre, making it a convenient base for exploring Athens. The rooftop pool was fantastic, and the weather was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views.

On the same floor, there is a spa with an excellent steam room and sauna, both wonderfully hot and relaxing. There is also a basic gym. As I had already visited most of Athens’ main sights on previous trips, the hotel was the perfect place to unwind and catch up with a friend who lives nearby.

I booked a Sparta massage in the spa and it was one of the best massages I’ve had. It was so relaxing and restorative that I actually fell asleep. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely book another massage when I return.

Although I didn’t eat at the hotel, as I met a friend for dinner and missed breakfast, the menu looked appealing.

The hotel was spotless throughout my stay, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would happily stay here again.

Zu eng, Kaffeemaschine funktionierte schlecht, Brotauswahl zu klein, kaum Obst, zu wenig Personal und wenig kooperativer Leiter, der seine Leute nicht unterstützt hat.
