Loved our stay here. Great location and views. Staff very friendly, professional and helpful. Great room and facilities. Bar and restaurant was great. Hope On Hop Off bus stops right opposite the hotel. Many restaurants in walking distance from the hotel but we ate at the hotel which was very good.
Location
The room description online suggested that we were booking a connecting room, which was one of the reasons we chose it as we were travelling with children. However, on arrival, it wasn't what we would consider a true connecting room. The rooms shared access to a small hallway, but this area was not private or secure. As a result, we couldn't safely leave both room doors open to allow easy access between rooms, which is typically the main benefit of a connecting room for families with young children. I feel the description could be clearer so that guests know exactly what to expect when booking.
Fantastic beachfront location with beautiful sunset views. The room was comfortable and well maintained, and the easy access to the beach made the stay even better. A relaxing and enjoyable experience overall. 🌅😊
The breakfast selection was quite repetitive and could benefit from more variety. The only downside to the room was the shower design, as it was not fully enclosed, causing water to splash onto the bathroom floor.
It’s comfort in inclement weather and its close proximity to the v and A waterfront to meet friends for dinner.
Super breakfasts and really great staff at every level starting with the gate guard to the chef who actually gave me the receipe to his fantastic cheese cake!
Had a sudden medical emergency and they could not have been more helpful.
That in the Capes often inclement winter weather there were many different places to sit with coffee a nice roaring fire and a good book.

Beautiful hotel, in a perfect location in Camp's Bay. Exceeded expectations on location. Staff & food was exceptional - in particular the cafe; lunch & evening BBQ offering. Highly recommend sampling. Beautiful spacious room. Exceptional spa treatments; offers & therapists. Rates alongside the best ever & we travel a fair bit to many different chains & locations.
It has an interesting layout with different spots to sit and read on those days when the Fairest Cape decides to be not so fair. We had a few days that were too windy or rainy to be “oot n aboot”
Not to mention a great kitchen with great staff. Scott Melvin at the Bistro Cafe produces amazing cheesecake and even parted with the recipe with a smile. Can’t wait to try to reproduce it at home. Our overseas guests had a medical problem and that was attended to smartly.

The hot water for showers or bath is only lukewarm. For a cold fish like me, it was not so nice and soaking in the tub just is not an option as the water is cold before the bath water is “yay high”. Our heated towel rail was replaced promptly once we reported its demise.
Everything, from the location, to staff, services and amenities - was great. I enjoyed my stay there very much!
The staff were very friendly and efficient, room comfortable and breakfast great. Well located for trips around the area. The security team were helpful and very efficient.

Wonderful hotel at the best place of Cape Town
We stayed at The Bay Hotel for 4 nights on our first visit to Cape Town. The hotel is in a great location, with many restaurants located within walking distance, the beach across the road, and the hop on, hop off bus stop right outside the hotel gates.
Our room had a sea view and was huge! A separate seating area, a smart tv, a walk in shower and endless cupboard space. The mini bar was restocked daily with soft beverages and snacks which was a lovely touch! Hats off to the cleaning staff who do a fantastic job! One of my favourite things was getting in from dinner to a turned down bed, complete with a hot water bottle!
We had breakfast daily at the hotel and it was superb! The omelettes are amazing and my partner loved the eggs Benedict!
One morning we took advantage of the massage vouchers given on arrival and went to the spa. It was slightly oversold as coming with a fruit platter and bubbly but we didn’t miss these. The massages we both had were extremely relaxing so we’re glad we done this! It also filled some time during a storm which prevented us exploring more of the city.
The only issue we encountered was the water for showering was never very hot. We have maintenance come out to our room twice but it didn’t seem to make a difference. It was hit and miss, sometimes it got warm (never scalding hot like I personally like), other times it didn’t but we learnt to persevere in the end.
All the staff were lovely and accommodating on the site, the security guards at the front of the hotel always smiley and happy to greet us. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Cape Town!
What an unbelievable hotel, the location is perfect to walk straight on to the beach, the hotel itself is beautiful, the room was great with a sea view. The pools were all lovely. Breakfast was brilliant and cooked to order. The staff were all so nice and attentive and made us feel so welcome. Especially Solomon who took great care of our group around the pool, nothing was too much. We will definitely be back next year for the marathon week
We loved our stay. Good food, nice bar, sports facilities and the staff is very helpful.
