Rooms are a bit dated
Location close to Harbour and nearby beach. Room had a good Harbour and sea view. Beach walkway was easy to access.
No sink plug in bathroom, balcony doors covered in sea spray, a few light bulbs needed replacing, no clothes air-drying rack.

Everything we needed for our stay.
Nice view
We were keen to use the pool and the pool bar and relax. The pool bar never opened.

Unfortunately we had a room on the 1st floor overlooking the carpark, however the staff did apologise and offer to move us to a higher floor the next day. The location is good if you want to stay right on the harbour, however it was annoying not having a car and having to catch Taxi's and Ubers all the time to get anywhere.
As there is no shops nearby it would be great if the hotel had a vending machine with snacks and drinks. The food and drinks in the restaurant/bar were quite pricey also.
We were staying at Mantra Mackay because our boat is in the ship yard getting some TLC. Great location to walk back and forth to the ship yard. Close to the restaurants.
It was strange there is no toaster at all. Don’t understand the reasoning behind it. Would be nice to have decent size mugs for your morning coffee. There was only one huge lounge chair could have put in a two seater lounge at least in the space available.
