Cortona magic
Pros:

This was our first time in Cortona. The hotel is perfectly situated. The room was fantastic and the staff incredible. The breakfast was also very very tasty.

La colazione

Cons:

Capisco che l'edificio sia vecchio, dato che si trova nel centro della città, ma anche la camera era estremamente datata. Il bagno, la doccia e le altre strutture sembravano non essere stati rinnovati da molti anni.

Il letto era in condizioni pessime: le molle erano praticamente tutte rovinate e il materasso era deformato e molto scomodo. Mi sono svegliato con il mal di schiena e non sono riuscito a dormire bene durante il soggiorno.

Inoltre, l'isolamento acustico era quasi inesistente: si sentivano chiaramente i rumori provenienti dalle stanze vicine, rendendo difficile riposare.

Anche il servizio alla reception è stato deludente. Durante il check-in, l'addetto ha interrotto la procedura per rispondere a una telefonata e ci ha lasciati ad aspettare per parecchio tempo senza alcuna spiegazione o scusa. Ho trovato questo comportamento poco professionale e poco rispettoso nei confronti degli ospiti.

L'unica nota positiva è stata la colazione, che era buona e ben assortita.

Nel complesso, è stata una delle peggiori esperienze che abbia avuto in una struttura ricettiva e non la consiglierei.

We would happily use the hotel again; it is right in the middle of town! AND parking can be impossib
Pros:

The staff were truly excellent and very pleasant to work with. One of 5 wa a little serious and didnt seem as with it as all the others. The room itself was great. We took advantage of their local parking; expensive but really very convenient. They made up an excellent list of local restaurants and mad bookings for us twice.

Excellent location in Cortuna up on the hill. GPS send you down a small road but all ok.
Pros:

Courtesy of staff and helpfulness particularly for parking. Thanks to owner for switching lights on in garage.

Great location and staff. Beautiful old building.
Pros:

Great location next to the main square. Although it was a bit of a hike up a steep road from the public parking outside the town walls.

The staff were fantastic.

Cons:

The shower cubicle was quite small and restrictive. For a 4 star hotel the toiletries could have been better. Similarly they should provide a good coffee machine rather than packet coffee and a kettle with paper cups!

Door key card entry was a challenge at times.

Central location, beautiful 500 year old building, helpful staff, good breakfast, valet parking.
Pros:

Location is fabulous, just off Cortona’s main square. Staff very friendly, and eager to help.

Cons:

Location great and very central, but the main square can be surprisingly lively in the evenings so if you’re noise sensitive, you may want to request a rear facing room.

Most hospitable place I have ever stayed at!
Pros:

The property was well located. The access by car to drop off luggage and to take a trip outside of Cortona was ideal as we were allowed to enter the city to pick up and drop off people in our party. The staff was above and beyond helpful in every way.

Cons:

It was a bit of a faded beauty but the staff especially at the front desk and the breakfast servers we above and beyond!

Pros:

Location was great to go to Cortona for one night .

Cons:

Property is not as depicted in pictures . We have been calling it the old creepy castle. Thank goodness it was just one night . We think because we only stayed one night we did not get the better rooms.
