Un séjour dans un hôtel atypique
Pros:

Un hôtel atypique, au charme certain, niché dans un écrin de verdure. La chapelle est étonnante. Tout l’établissement foisonne d’objets et de tableaux, ce qui lui confère une âme particulière.
L’hôtel est retiré donc très calme mais en même temps proche d’Arles et non loin de lieux tels que St-Rémy et les Baux.

Cons:

Les équipements dans les chambres et les parties communes sont vieillissants.
On n’a pas pu profiter du jardin et de la piscine car il y avait beaucoup de moustiques en fin de journée.
L’offre du petit déjeuner, à 16 euros par personne, est variée mais fromages et charcuterie sont de qualité très moyenne, les fruits n’étaient pas mûrs, et un supplément de 3 euros est demandé si on veut deux oeufs.
Les photos de nus dans l’escalier peuvent heurter…

It’s a little tired due to its age and style, this didn’t detract for us but be aware and quite a few mosquitoes again due to its location so have some mossie spray to hand.

Pros:

Luogo incantevole e ricco di storia. Camere decorate con gusto, bella piscina. Per godere la pace della campagna e l'atmosfera elegante di altri tempi è il luogo ideale. La cappella così come la altre sale visitabili al pian terreno nonché il giardino di cui si può godere a piacimento rapiscono i sensi.

Beautiful location at 5km from the city center.
Pros:

Beautiful location with splendid gardens and pool. Easy to park on site. Very friendly host. Good breakfast.

Cons:

We had a double mattress, which was quite stiff. Certain rooms need a little refurbishment.

Seltenes Fundstück nahe Arles
Pros:

Die ehemalige Relaisstation des Malteserordens bildet eine sehr verwinkelte, beinahe verwunschene Anlage in der kein Zimmer dem anderen gleicht. Die Zimmer waren groß, geschmackvoll gestaltet und schön ausgestattet. Die Badezimmer waren groß, die Dusche ebenso und das Wasser wurde auch richtig heiß.
Das Frühstück war sehr gut, allerdings habe ich noch nie aus einem Samowar Kaffee getrunken - eine gute Idee. Der Pool war sehr sauber und ansprechend in Länge und Breite, so dass man gut schwimmen konnte. Es waren auch ausreichend Liegen um den Pool herum vorhanden und Badetücher bekommt man an der Rezeption.
Das Gelände ist riesig und lässt sich zu Fuß gut erkunden. Ein kleiner Spaziergang auf dem man das ein oder andere schön gestaltete Kleinod am Wegesrand entdeckt. Von Skulpturen über Pavillions etc.
Arles ist nicht weit entfernt und leicht erreichbar.

Cons:

Hier muss man schon suchen, um Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten zu finden. Wir würden immer wieder hierher reisen, was man nicht von allen Unterkünften auf der Strecke von Faro aus sagen kann.
Es gibt zwar eine Lademöglichkeit für E-Fahrzeuge, diese erscheint aber etwas zu teuer angesichts vorhandener Alternativen in nicht zu weiter Entfernung.
