Horrible check in experience

Terrifying check-in experience, though the hotel itself is good

I have mixed feelings about our stay. On one hand, the hotel itself is good, the facilities are fine, and everything else during our stay was perfectly okay. On the other hand, our check-in experience was an absolute nightmare.

We arrived for a late-night check-in with my children. Due to a misunderstanding between the hotel and Booking.com, the receptionists treated us with zero empathy or basic human decency. Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, the staff threatened to throw us out into the street late at night unless we paid for the entire 5-night stay all over again right then and there.

They refused to show any flexibility and wouldn't even consider letting us pay for just one night until the details could be cleared up with Booking.com the next morning.

This rigid, hostile, and unjust attitude from the receptionists turned our arrival into a highly stressful and anxiety-inducing encounter. As a mother arriving late at night with her children, you expect to feel safe and welcomed. Instead, we were met with pure coldness and threats that left us feeling deeply anxious and disappointed.

It is a shame that a good hotel is represented by staff who treat guests this way. While the hotel itself is fine, the management seriously needs to address the abusive behavior of their night reception staff.

Great stay near Times Square
Pros:

Nice hotel, great location right next to Times Square. Beautiful room.

Cons:

No fridge in the room. On our last day I finally got to the reception and asked if it was normal not to have a fridge in our room, and they said that they can deliver one upon request ?! That is very strange to me.

Pros:

Posizione perfetta se si desidera stare a Times Square. Camere grandi rispetto ad altri hotel della zona. Personale sempre gentile e disponibile.

Cons:

Avevo chiesto un piano alto e ci hanno messo al 12° piano che non è per nulla in alto e con vista mediocre.
Le piastrelle della camera erano tutte macchiate e sembrava fosse sporco. All'arrivo ho trovato una puzza di muffa in camera davvero sgradevole.
Non c'è un frigorifero in camera (assurdo).
Se cercate la posizione va bene ma se cercate un hotel premium vero, non è sicuramente il posto giusto.

The Westin is a great resort with some of the best views you will ever see. Rooms are really nice, the staff is very helpful and the activities are very fun. Would highly recommend going if you on the fence!
