Check in took over 30 minutes. Only one of two lifts working. Walls in rooms thin so you could hear everything in the next room and in the corridor.

Very hard beds, everything needs a lick of paint and a good clean. Sticky tables in the bar/restaurant. Cracked unkempt bathrooms. Brown decor could do with a refresh! Took 45 mins to check in as they asked everyone to check in at the same time, ridiculous.
Room was lovely, clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options.
Staff were polite and friendly.
Booking in was a long process. We arrived 45 minutes early and were unable to book in before 3. Come 3pm the queue to get in was ridiculous with 1 member of staff to start with and alot of people arriving due to a local event.

No fridge in room, cleaning was not consistent, tv not linked to WiFi.
Located in the Cardiff Bay Area so is a short walk away from many restaurants and a shopping mall. Also a short walk from a bus stop to get into Cardiff city centre really quickly. Parking included with the hotel stay and just needed to register the licence plate with the hotel room.
Lots of construction in the area so not great currently (not specifically the hotel’s issue) but I’m sure in a few years the place will be much better. The hotel itself seems decorated from the 80s but well kept but the elevator does seem like it needs a bit of WD40 or something and the corridors are a tad musty in the heat. Old/warm smell from the carpet.
