De locatie is natuurlijk prachtig en de omgeving is absoluut een van de grootste pluspunten van de accommodatie. Ook vond ik de gratis rondleiding met Jack echt geweldig. Hij vertelde op een enthousiaste en interessante manier over de bloemen, dieren en de omgeving. Dat gaf ons een veel beter beeld van de natuur en was echt een hoogtepunt van ons verblijf.
Voor de prijs van ongeveer €400 (circa C$647) per nacht had ik een veel mooiere en luxere kamer verwacht. De kamer was erg basic en naar mijn mening kun je in Banff voor dit bedrag mooier verblijven. Daarnaast was het ontbijt niet inbegrepen en moest je bij het ontbijt zelfs nog apart betalen voor drankjes. Ook vond ik de kwaliteit van het eten over het algemeen niet op het niveau dat je bij deze prijs en accommodatie zou verwachten. Bij aankomst was er bovendien geen hulp met het naar binnen brengen van onze bagage, wat naar mijn mening beter geregeld zou kunnen worden. Bovendien was het babybedje zonder beddengoed, dat soort dingen, het is allemaal niet echt goed geregeld voor die prijs.

As you cannot reach the hotel wit your car, you depend on a Gondola that takes 20 minutes or a shuttle that is not very frequent.
The location, which goes without saying. The front desk staff were also fantastic.

The hotel room I was upgraded to was a terrible spot. View was great but the room was directly across from the elevator and the housekeeping storage so it was quite noisy at night as well as the morning. (The picture is where the housekeeping cart was every morning, and my room just to the right of that).

View from the veranda is lovely. Hot tub is huge.
The room layouts are super bizarre. Lofted rooms have a shower only in the upstairs bathroom, and a bathtub only in the downstairs. Bathroom doors are sliding and get stuck - one of our friends got locked in the bathroom at 2 a.m. Some of the bathrooms also have a "window" into the living room that can be opened - who wants that?
We stayed in the summer as a jumping off point to backpacking in Assiniboine, so the access was great. But once you're at the hotel, you're basically stuck with the restaurants there, unless you want to take a 15 minute gondola ride then a 20 minute drive into town. For our purposes it worked, but I'm not sure why you'd stay here in the summer otherwise (Winter skiing makes sense).

The overall experience was "awesome" for our visitors from Germany and of course us Canadians, the facility, the view from our room and the authentic genuine friendliness of the staff. We will certainly recommend Sunshine to friends - this is summertime - can't imagine what winter is like at Sunshine.

The staff was so friendly, and the room was so clean.
The room didn't have an air conditioner, and we couldn't leave the door open to let in fresh air because there was no net. It was very difficult to carry my suitcase to the hotel. I was told it would take 90 minutes if they sent it to the hotel.

La taille de la chambre n'est pas correcte. Sur la description Booking vous vendez une chambre de 215mts carrés quand en réalité la chambre ne mesure pas plus de 25mts carrés y incluant le balcon.
Service moyen, accueil très froid, on a l'impression que le personnel se sent importuné par l'arrivée des clients. Aucune information explicative des installations ni orientation. C'est plutôt servez-vous style, ce que pour un hôtel à ce prix ne donne pas envie de le payer.
Two nights here at the end of our holiday and what a fantastic place it is. You park and check-in at the bottom of the gondola. The staff take care of your luggage which is then delivered to your room, while you take the gondola for the 20 minute ride to the hotel, at the bottom of the ski-slopes (yes, it's summer but the chair lifts operate for hikers). The hotel itself is superb, with views from the balcony over the resort, just lovely. We used it as a base to visit Lake Louise / Moraine Lake and Banff, which aren't far away. The coffee shop in-house is great, especially for morning pastries, so we would thoroughly recommend this hotel at any time.
