Little peaceful jewel in Sigiriya's crown
Pros:

The host was delightful. The view over the paddy fields was lovely. he moved us into a top floor room which was great. Good sized deck. really gorgeous. Couldn't be more helpful. Short tuk tuk ride to a choice of restaurants. Waited for elephants to walk up the lane but never got the timing right. Good spot to climb Sigiriya and dambulla etc. pool welcome after a hot day. Room large and lovely.

Cons:

The pool was a bit cloudy so we didn't put our heads under. We were in low season so probs hard to maintain. Can't reiterate how great the host was - would def return here.

Highly recommend
Pros:

The team were so friendly, helpful and attentive. The breakfasts were delicious. The view of Lion Rock makes the location very special. Easy walking distance 10-15 minutes to restaurants.

Pros:

Ligging was goed. En de mensen waren hardstikke aardig! Ook toen we later wilde ontbijten was dit mogelijk.

Cons:

Er werd aangeboden om ons op te halen en te brengen naar bepaalde locaties maar dit was helaas een stuk duurder dan pick me. Ook was de safari die we boekten de eerste dan 40k en net voordat we gingen zei hij 42k.

Helaas hebben we niet gezwommen omdat het water erg groen leek.

Pros:

Me ha encantado todo, pero todo. El lugar es supertranquilo, un oasis en medio del "caos". Me he sentido de la familia por la forma como me trataron allí. Superamables, fantásticos, muy flexibles con todo. Además, he tenido la suerte de estar sola. La habitación muy guay y moderna. Los desayunos, los mejores que he tenido nunca. Pienso todos los días en volver allí...

Cons:

Los mosquitos. Pero obviamente no tienen culpa ni control sobre ello. Incluso me han dado repelente, pero al ser un oasis, toca más...

Great location if you want to go to sigriya rock (a 15 minute drive)
Simple and feels like you are in nature

Cons:

There was no dinner in the hotel - possibly due to low season and unfortunately because we’re in nature, you could experience ants, etc..

The absolute highlight of this property is the view. Looking out over the lush green rice paddies toward the iconic Sigiriya Lion Rock—especially at sunset from the pool or a top-floor balcony—is stunning.

Cons:

The hotel is located down a quieter side road (Wela Mada Road). While this makes it wonderfully peaceful during the day, it gets pitch dark at night. If you're heading back late, it’s best to take a quick tuk-tuktuk rather than walking it solo.

Cons:

Weinig faciliteiten (geen handdoeken, koelkast deed het niet, geen tandenborstel, geen lepels, de usb-schakelaar deed het niet, geen tv), zwembadwater vol met beestjes, de wasbak lekte, geen lift in het gebouw waardoor we zelf onze koffers via de trap naar beneden moest sjouwen

Relaxing so clean and amazing owner who will go above and beyond for you.
Pros:

The owner was amazing he is so friendly and always arranged things for us. He even dropped us to the Lion's rock himself at 6am instead of getting a taxi. He goes above and beyond for his guests and is so helpful. Roxy the dog there is also so friendly and I loved greeting her everytime we passed.

Cons:

The food was not the best but I understand it is also off season right now but we ordered chicken sandwiches from the owner and then when we sat down the chef said the chicken was frozen so we couldn't have it. Then we ordered egg sandwiches but it came with onions. There wasn't a great selection and the location it was very dangerous to go out at night because of elephants so we were stuck at times with no good food options. Other then that it was amazing
