I like the kids club because Paola and Corina are the best to the best also the games. They do different activities with kids every day. I would like to come back and make more Keychains. 😄

We loved our stay here!! Big shout out to Monse, Yare and Penny at the kids club- they were amazing with our kids and kept them entertained with games, face painting and arts and crafts!

Our kids love Kids Club! Piñata Fridays are a hit every year!! They enjoy all the activities, including making pop-its, slime, sensory balls, bracelets, face masks, pintacaritas, water balloon fights, and playing with the other kids. This year they even celebrated a kid's birthday in Kids Club. Corina and Paola are absolutely wonderful, and my daughter even ran up to Corina on her lunch break to show her the crab pinchers she found. They truly love and remember the kids, and it shows every year!

Best time ever for relaxing and enjoying the food and facilities.

Salvador was a fantastic person cleaning our room such efficient and very friendly made us feel at home.

I have been coming to this resort since I was a child, arriving with my parents and feeling an immediate sense of joy the moment we stepped through the doors. What makes this place extraordinary is that, decades later, my own children now feel that same excitement. It is a rare and beautiful thing to watch them fall in love with the very traditions that shaped my childhood.

I still remember the warm welcome at the entrance, always made special by Jeremias. As a kid, that greeting felt magical, and to this day it carries the same heartfelt sincerity. My children now run toward the pool just as I once did, and they experience the same delight in picking up their clean, perfectly folded towels and being greeted by Pascual and Mizael. There is something profoundly meaningful about seeing them enjoy the exact moments that meant so much to me.

The gardens have always been another source of joy. The care and dedication of the gardeners have kept them immaculate year after year. Their work creates an atmosphere of calm and beauty that elevates every stay. Walking through those well‑maintained paths has always been one of the most relaxing parts of our visits.

I also want to give a huge shout‑out to the Kids Club, especially Cori and Paola. Leaving our children in their care means knowing they will have fun, make friends, create wonderful arts and crafts, and feel completely safe. They enjoy themselves so much that they never want to leave, and as a parent, that peace of mind allows you to truly relax and enjoy your vacation.

Another special part of our experience is the pottery studio with Manuel and Claudia. It has become a must‑do activity for us. The environment is calming, the company is fantastic, and the process itself is incredibly enjoyable. After Manuel adds his artistic touch to the pieces, you feel like a true Mexican artist yourself because the finished products are always beautiful and full of character.

I am also deeply grateful to Laura, who keeps our villa clean and pristine throughout our stay. Her attentiveness, care, and consistency make a tremendous difference. She is always aware of what we need, often before we even ask, and her dedication adds a sense of comfort and ease that we appreciate more than words can express.

This year, we also had an unforgettable experience thanks to Luciano from Thomas More. He coordinated the most extraordinary visit to the aquarium, where my daughter began her birthday celebration swimming with dolphins. Later at the Kids Club, Cori and Paola continued the celebration with a piñata and gathered all the children to sing happy birthday. It was a truly memorable moment that made her day incredibly special.

These individuals, and many others, have shaped not just memorable vacations, but cherished family traditions. Their kindness, dedication, and genuine care are what make this hotel feel like home.

We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Cancun. Our room was so spacious, immaculately clean & we had an amazing view of the sea. The food was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

You can't go wrong here, the beach is not the best, but overall, the quality of the resort is world class. The food and the staff were absolutely amazing there was not a single moment where I felt unsafe here the security is around the clock and if you need anything somebody is always there to help you. The location is excellent you only need to walk about 5 minutes to get to the marina if you want to go to the island or want to participate in Marine activities

Auf den ersten Blick toll, aber am Ende waren wir froh, dass wir nur eine Nacht gebucht haben.
Da unser Flug erst spät abends ging, durften wir noch die Pools und duschen nutzen und bis 16 Uhr am all inclusive teilnehmen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Very good family oriented resort. Calm water on the beach, nice pools if you are so inclined. Main restaurant has both buffet service and menu service with a variety of cuisines. La Trattoria has good Italian food options but reservations are required. Rooms were bright, airy, clean and well maintained. Very pleasant place for a family vacation.

Royal Cancun

We had a wonderful overall experience in Cancun, and the service throughout the resort was generally amazing. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly put a lot of effort into making guests feel welcome.

That said, there are a few areas where we feel the resort could improve.

My parents have been timeshare owners for more than 20 years, so we were disappointed that there wasn’t an opportunity to upgrade to a room with two bathrooms. After that many years of ownership and loyalty, we would have expected some additional perks or consideration, especially when traveling with family.

We also had a frustrating experience with a couple of the bartenders at the pool bar. On multiple occasions, I was standing there before other guests, yet people who arrived after me were served first. This happened more than once, which made it feel like I was being overlooked. The rest of the service was excellent, so hopefully this was an isolated issue.

Another area that could really use improvement is signage throughout the resort. It can be difficult to figure out where you’re going, and adding more directional signs would make a big difference. Even something as simple as painting room numbers and directional arrows on some of the walls would be extremely helpful.

Additionally, the atmosphere around certain parts of the pool area felt a bit quiet at times. There was a noticeable lack of music in some sections, which made those areas feel less lively compared to others. Adding more speakers and ensuring consistent music throughout the pool areas and resort would greatly enhance the overall vacation vibe.

Finally, after being timeshare owners for so many years, we have to question whether the overall cost and commitment of ownership provides enough value compared with simply booking a vacation when you want to travel. Timeshare ownership should come with significantly more benefits, perks, upgrades, or recognition for long-term owners. After 20+ years, we would hope to feel that loyalty is rewarded in a more meaningful way.

Overall, we enjoyed our Cancun vacation and appreciate the wonderful service we received from most of the staff. With some improvements to the pool bar service, signage, music and atmosphere, and especially the benefits offered to long-term timeshare owners, the experience could be even better.

very nice hotel, family atmosphere, spacious apartment, cleanliness, nice garden and beach resort, tennis courts, towels supply, enough sunbeds on the beach and pools, gorgeous seaview, quiet beach, safe location close to boat departures. Great to share the Royal Sands as well.

Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, very clean, good food & cocktails. Was pleasantly surprised to not see any critters or insects!

this resort is very nice for large families but if you are looking for things to do after 5 there is nothing to do we had to leave the resort because there was nothing to do but if you wanna just chill and don't want to do any activities then this resort is perfect very clean staff is great food was 3 options but was so good pool was clean never crowded we had a great time i wouldn't stay again because my kids was bored just at the resort itself

All the rooms have two bedrooms, when I thought I booked a one-bedroom, I was surprised when I saw I had two bedrooms.

La playa es ideal para niños, sin oleaje, sin sargazo, poca profundidad. En el hotel te pueden prestar equipo deportivo como visores, aletas y tubo de snorkel para niños y adultos. Se pueden ver peces muy cerca de la playa con solo caminar un poco. Es una gran experiencia. La habitación es amplia y está muy equipada.
