Wir kommen trotzdem wieder und hoffen manche alte Gewohnheit wieder zu finden
Pros:

Wir kommen seit über 20 Jahren und das nicht ohne Grund mindestens einmal im Jahr ins Hotel. Das Hotel hat eine super Lage, bequeme Betten alles ist sehr sauber.
Das Hotel wurde renoviert und ist in einem sehr guten Zustand. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.


Trotzdem gibt es ein paar Verbesserungsvorschläge.

Cons:

Wir haben das Frühstücksbuffet gewählt.
Leider gab es Marmelade nur abgepackt in kleinen Plastikecken und die Eier und Kartoffeln waren nur lauwarm.
Wir übernachten schon seit über 20 Jahren mindestens einmal im Jahr im Royal Park Hotel und müssen feststellen das sich manche Dinge zum Negativen entwickelt haben.

Noch bis letztes Jahr gab es immer eine kleine Frühstücksbar für Frühaufsteher die ich sehr genossen habe.
Zuerst in der Bibliothek dann im Empfangsraum.
Mit ausgewählten Teesorten, frischem Kaffe und Wasser und Milch in der Kanne, ausserdem kleine Honig Gläschen zum Süssen. Man konnte vor dem Kaminfeuer verschiedene Zeitungen lesen und den ersten Kaffe genießen bevor man später zum Frühstücken ging.
Auch beim Frühstück gab es immer die kleinen Gläschen Marmelade und Honig, nicht die billigen Portionspackungen aus Plastik. Die Tische hatten weisse Tischdecken wie in top Restaurants üblich, die Tischdecken sind inzwischen leider auch verschwunden.
Dieses Jahr gab es im Restaurant in einer nicht gerade liebevollen Ecke eine Kanne Kaffe mit abgepackter Milch und Zucker in billigen Plastik Portionspackungen, wie in jedem fast food Restaurant.
Ein so gutes Hotel sollte unbedingt auf solche Kleinigkeiten achten.
Den Herrn der all die Jahre für die Sauberkeit der Bibliothek und den Empfang zuständig war haben wir vermisst, er hat immer alles super sauber erledigt und auf die Gäste Rücksicht genommen. Das heisst, es wurde nicht unter den Füssen gesaugt wenn man seinen Kaffee genoss.

Leider ist es Im Restaurant sehr laut und sehr kalt, was uns davon abhielt dort zu essen.
Die Terrasse könnte eine Auffrischung vertragen, manche Stühle lösen sich teilweise auf und einige Tische wackeln.

Ich glaube sie können es besser.

Great place even in a power outage
Pros:

We had stayed at the Royal Park before and arrived this time to find the power was out from a nearby storm. Deanna at the front desk managed the situation impeccably. She provided updates, called around to find nearby hotels with power, patiently answered the frustrated questions of some guests with grace and empathy, and made a difficult situation tolerable and even a little fun!

Pros:

This was a beautiful property. Very high-end. it was very expensive. If you have the money, it’s a beautiful place to stay.
