Everything was good

Poor hygiene. There are dust balls at the corners of the room, the floor is visibly dirty and there’ was pubic hair on the hairdryer.
We were 3 guests but only 2 sets of towels were in the room. When we asked for another set at the reception we were told that the rooms are cleaned every morning and everything required will be replenished. The towels will be sent to the room when towels are delivered. After we explained that there are 3 guests, the receptionist said he will send someone up with the towels but no one came.
Very little toilet paper was given to the point that it will not last through the night. When we asked the reception for more toilet paper, he laughed and repeated that whatever that is required will have been replenished by the housekeeping in the morning. Then he handed us a half used toilet roll on the reception table.

Booked and paid for two comfort rooms but was given one comfort and one standard . Reception told me later that the standard was in fact a comfort room since it had airco! The room pictures on booking.com however are clearly for a standard room which had no view and was smaller that the actual comfort. Big pity as the rest of the stay was good although the rooms weren’t available until 4 o’clock even though check in is three o’clock

A chambermaid threw away my Boots paper bag containing my medications I was unable to get it back it could have been very serious indeed, fortunately they were not the medicines I have to take every day. A major inconvenience and an inexplicable mistake

Shanty Town outside, screaming at night, unhelpful staff, no maps available tiny very hot room.

Not enough space for 5 people, very poor bath products, rooms need restoration.

Room was tiny & looked out over cigarette butt covered internal void which should be cleaned up. Thought we'd get a bigger room with better aspect as advertised because we paid extra for that. No lift to 1st floor & lifts to other floors only go to landing between floors meaning you still have to carry bags up or down stairs. No assistance with bags which makes it very difficult or impossible to access rooms for elderly or infirm people. This should be mentioned in hotel description. In short, very overpriced and very underwhelming.
