It doesn't look like much from the outside, so don't judge a book by it's cover.
Honestly there was nothing to complain about.
The hotel is in good condition and the location is close to Ruidoso's downtown.
The fact that they always ask for a credit card to hold $50 dollars and actually keep $16.23 for booking through a third party application.
Booking.com should tell you that the property will ask you for an additional $16.23 on top of what you already paid on booking.com
We did not have breakfast. But the place was great..great staff. Thank you Alex for your hospitality. We will definitely be staying here the next time we go to Ruidoso

Clean nice hotel
The breakfast could be a little better
The location is very convenient and safe. Good location to all Ruidoso attractions. The room was clean and kept during our stay. The breakfast greatly improved since our first visit and was very good and well stocked. The rooms are comfortable, pool and gym are nice. Staff were polite and friendly.
I paid in full (nonrefundable) prior to the visit as part of a promo price, which was better than most locations during the holiday weekend, but then was surprised by the attendant telling me that there is a $16 a day service charge separate from what I was told was totally paid by Booking.com. I looked up a future booking and it showed service charge included and taxes excluded so I again brought it up and was told that the service charge is not reimbursed by Booking.com to the hotel so I have to pay it. First time, I've experienced that. Other than that, the hotel is a little worn but renovations are to start soon and they are becoming part of Hilton.
Breakfast was great, we stay everytime we visit Ruidoso.
No need to change anything, it's always clean when we stay, and the staff are very helpful if we need anything.
Location
They had two different types of water issues / flooding the main lobby . We were told one was caused by a guest flushing baby wipes and the other by the indoor pool. I believe neither were because of the staff.
Very clean and great service! Loved the games they had in the lobby. Breakfast was amazing as well!
The elevator was a little sketchy. Our first time in it, it got stuck but we just had to call the front desk and she just had to reset it. Never been stuck in an elevator and almost freaked out lol but it was a quick fix. I decided to just take the stairs. I would definitely stay again!
The breakfast was awesome, every day there was something different and very good. The chef was very accommodating. If there was not anything out there that you wanted or couldn’t eat, he would fix something for you. He was very friendly and made you feel at home.

It was good food, nice pool, great location, about 10 minutes from some things, plenty of food and casinos around
Clean and perfectly inviting lived the staff breakfast could have been warmer. Other than than everything was great.
