No room service had to run across street to get clean towels and coffee .swimming pool was clean.
Rooms clean
Parking / no elevator
Hottub
Hotel policies outdated - check-in cumbersome - not really customer driven
Very clean. Friendly staff.
Nothing
Beds were hard and uncomfortable. One of the rooms I booked was dirty and had used contacts on the floors.
Location and cleanliness
Many things in the room didn’t work! The phone, the air conditioner, one of the lamps, and one of the lightbulbs in the bathroom. And then they put us right next to the laundry facility and we heard carts rolling the second the sun was up. There was a lot of noise. I will say that they did try to take care of those problems, but were unable to and by the third day I was shot… I told them about all the issues and how unhappy I was and they moved me to a different room. So I was thankful for that. there’s a gas station right next-door if you are jonesing for coffee and a few little restaurants in the plaza across the way. The downtown, Beach Boardwalk, and the beaches are all within walking distance. My kids live a quarter of a mile back from the municipal wharf where they grew up so it wasn’t a far drive to go see my kids. I could tell that the front desk staff were inexperienced or it was under new management. They were all polite, but you could tell they didn’t know a lot that needed to be addressed. And the one guy was dressed a very unprofessionally wearing muscle t’s and sweatpants… Doesn’t make you feel like you’re gonna get good service. Way too many non-English speaking people work there… You couldn’t ask a simple question without an interpreter.
We got keys to our room & the room was completely torn apart under construction. There were tools everywhere. Had to run back across a busy street to go get new room keys. The room was filthy.
N/A
No ground floor room for senior..76yr old with bad knee
The room had everything that a higher priced hotel would have; all the little extras. TV channels were much more than I expected too with HBO, Max etc. The beds very comfortable and parking very near my room. The air conditioning worked perfectly too. Towels were big enough and plenty too. It was very nicely painted and had good artwork that told of Santa Cruz. It did not have a motel feel but like an Inn so it lived up to its name. I also appreciated that checkout time was 12:00 and not 11:00 like most other places!
I did not like the noisy bathroom fan.
It was close to the boardwalk
The parking was horrible, the pool and jacuzzi were across the street on opposite sides of each other, walls are extremely thin, can hear the person upstairs flush the toilet and it’s so loud it sounds like a waterfall running down right next to you.
hot tub was cozy
room was not cleaned daily, deposit ridiculous, extended stay requirements outdated
