I would return here! The low cost, 3pm late checkout, and proximity to the beach are great for visitors.
Pros:

The price was the lowest while offering comfort you would need. The location was within walking distance of things near the Santa Cruz beach including food, shops and the boardwalk. Plenty of parking spaces if you arrive at noon as I did. Staff were easy to work with when I extended my stay until 3pm for $25.

Cons:

I noticed a few minor things about the room here and there like the light switches not turning on one of the lamps or mold on some creases just enough to tell the place had aged.

The fridge and the coffee pot were nice conveniences.

Cons:

The room was tight, as the desk was way too big for the size of the space. The room was straightened every day but the sheets and towels didn't appear to be changed daily.
