Carlsbad Seapointe Resort

We checked out a day early because my husband was not feeling welll. Room was not set up for diability per our request for handheld shower and a seat. My husband just wanted wanted to go home. we were advised to contact Expedia to assist with gettinhg 1 day refund. Expedia advises they cannot get in touch with Carlsbad and advise that without talking to Carlsbad their hands are tied. This is ludicrous!!!!

Beautiful location.

Not what it was years ago. A lot of people on the opposite side of the road would park and gather taking away from the scenery. Early in the morning starting at around 6 am, noise from many cars and motorbikes would destroy the peace and atmosphere. I used to cross the road to enjoy the beach but that is no longer true. Too many people and too much trash left behind. When I was there, there was construction everywhere because the resort is adding more and more units. The noise level from construction workers banging away and the noise from cars/motorbikes revving up just doesn't make for a nice, peaceful stay. Although the unit itself was nice, I came for the ocean view and atmosphere which left me disappointed. Nice resorts are everywhere but those with unspoilt ocean view are rare and I thought that that was what I was going for with this resort. Would not recommend and will not be back.

The host, Michael, did a great job. He was so nice and accommodating. He helped me with a few requests. Then he explained the resort layout which made navigating to parking and our room extremely easy. Thanks again Michael!

Beautiful resort with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Close to many restaurants and activities. You need a car to get around. Lots of family activities on site.

This is a lovely resort, close to so many wonderful activities. Best for me was all you have to do is walk across the street and you're at the beach! Loved it!

We booked this beach hotel 23 days ago (3/8/26) for a family spring break trip with our kids. We packed everything — towels, beach blankets, sand toys, the works — excited for a beach vacation. Then, less than an hour before check-in, they called to say our confirmed reservation was cancelled due to overbooking.
The “solution” they offered was finding a “comparable” room at another hotel. Not a beach hotel. Not what we planned. Not what we packed for.

I tried to resolve it. I asked if there were any rooms available and if not to fully refund me (hotel charged me a portion on 3/19) .Front desk sent me to Reservations. Reservations sent me back to Front Desk. Front Desk told me they had there was no one to escalate to because management had already left for the day — and this was before 4:00 PM.

Now, on top of a ruined plans, I have to be inconvenienced and dispute the charge with my credit card company just to get my own money back. An absolute failure from a hotel that had 23 days to handle this better.

Comfortable bed

Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Had all the amenities on site.

We have stayed at the hotel before and it was nice to see the amenities had been completed. It was under constructions in our prior stay years ago.

Resort was older than pictures on website! Dining chairs were falling apart. No Smart TV. Laundromat outside room! Noise from train/tram!
Extra fees (resort, taxes, parking) $194 for 5days!!
Disappointed with what I expected the resort to be!!

Carlsbad Seapoint resort did not disappoint. A great location, nice staff, and wonderful amenities. The room was clean and had everything we needed for the week. Comfortable bed, fireplace and ocean view! Short walk to the ocean.

The amazing view of the ocean and sunset was incredible. The pools and hot tubs were super great. The staff were friendly and so nice. Highly recommend a vacation at this resort.

Didn't eat breakfast

Excellent location with nearby (walkable) train (free) into Carlsbad. Enjoyed the farmer's market there on Wednesdays. Beaches are nearby. 30-40 min to San Diego. Rooms are very clean. Firepits, pool available
